Looking Forward To...(55)

There are so many amazing books already on the shelves and new ones coming out.

For a list of books yet to be released I'm looking to get, you can also look on my right Sidebar at the ever growing list titled Desired Reads - just scroll down. Of course there are tones of other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have already started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and haven't seen much on other blogs yet). But I will highlight one here each week.

(mentioned in order of Release Date then Alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date.)

Next Book Is...

Hunter
Demons of Oblivion Series
By: Skyla Dawn Cameron
Due Out:  August 30, 2011

So, I loved the first book with Zara and Nathan.  And the world created with the unique twist to vampirism and demons.  Loved it!  And I like the sounds of this second book as well.  It is from the view point of a different character but sounds like another great read by a great new author to me.  Check it out!

And the wonderful thing here, You don't have to have read the first book Bloodlines to read this one!  They are able to stand on their own.  So Go Check it out! :) (although if you ask me I say go look at Bloodlines too! You wont be sorry.)

And if you would like to read my review of the first book: Bloodlines, do so HERE.
And I also have an Interview with Skyla, HERE.

Synopsis from Authors site:
Sometimes natural predators need to be kept in check, and for that, there's Ryann David. Orphaned as an infant and raised at by an exiled branch of the church to become a warrior for God, she and her fellow members of Venatores Daemonum have trained all their lives with only one purpose: destroy all vampires and demons in the mortal realm.
But when Ryann and her team are sent on a mission--to find and capture a vampire who's killed one of their own--she learns that perhaps not all is as it seems. Aligned with an irreverent psychic detective, a pair of vampires, and her own determination to do what’s right, Ryann seeks out the truth as the black and white world she knew turns a murky shade of grey.

This stand-alone book is set in the Bloodlines universe (5 years later) and features a new cast of characters...as well as a few familiar faces.

  2. Melissa (Books&Things) - lol. Yep, vampires, demons and magic. ;) I think you need to read Bloodlines and I think you'll enjoy it, but you can read this one with out having to read Bloodlines. That's the cool thing about this series. :)
