CSN Review

A few weeks ago I had won $75 at Adventures of Cecelia Bedelia's blog for CSN Furniture.  And many of you know I just love their furniture. :)  So, I thought I would share the latest item I got.  And of course it is related to books...

This shelf was one I wanted for a while now.  I love the look of it and it matches the desk I have nicely.  And if my husband gets the chance to make my books shelves, I can keep this one here or use it in the dinette to hold items as well.

I found this one, like the others pretty easy to put together.  Their where the special lock screws which I goofed up with when first putting them in, but it was an easy fix and away I went with the assembly when I realized it.  This one did take a little more putting together as it is bigger than any of the other items I've purchased.

I will say one shelf had a crack in the finish of the plywood, and I was afraid it went the whole way through, and with putting books on the shelf I was afraid it wouldn't hold well.  So I made the call to the manufacture (number was easily found on the assembly paper) and they where very kind and helpful.  I told them which shelf number it was and they UPSed me another one out the next day.  I got it in just a short few days and had the shelf completed in no time flat.  It was nice working with a kind company.

So, now I have the shelf completely full and ready to purchase my next set of shelves.

CSN Furniture Review (Part 2 of 2)

As I mentioned in the first review, I was so taken with a few items that I had to get two pieces of furniture.  So, as I promised you here is the second furniture review.

I think this piece just might be my favorite yet!

Okay, So this package came in its cardboard box as well - with the bubbles around it to help protect it.  But, I thought the actual box of the item was much better to share.

I have to admit, I got a little nervous when I saw all the pieces that went with putting this one together.   My first thought was, how is this all going to fit together with only...screws!  So I went and got my handy dandy screw driver and sat down with the directions.






It was actually very easy to put together!  I was very thrilled with myself.  The pieces slid together easily in the grooves and then where screwed tight with in the back.  Easy as pie!  I was nervous for nothing.

Now my only delema was getting it on the wall.  As many of you know we just moved into a new home and my husband is a little weary about putting things on the wall, and of course me being the one to drill into the wall.  So, I had to wait until he was home to have him drill into the wall and stud and install the heavy screws to mount the shelf on.  (he doesn't trust me with heavy tools. ;D)  So, vvvwallaa...



Would you like to see the shelf in action?  I already knew what was going on it the minute I saw the unit.  I wanted to put my next books to read on it, whether my wants or review copies.  And of course I always have more than enough books to fill any shelves I get these days.  So here it is, getting filled up...

I do love this one.  And it seems to be so sturdy when anchored into the stud.  I would suggest this nice wall mounted shelf to any one who would love to have a wall shelving unit.  I love the looks of it and it is very practical for usage!  CLICK HERE to go over to the sight!

CSN Furniture Review (Part 1 of 2)

I had promised you a review of an item from CSN.  Well, I was so caught up in my shopping I got 2! So I will be reviewing both items here in the order I receive them.

The first item came all wrapped up in its brown shipping box, but the image of the box underneath was nicer to share with you all.  Yes, I got a shelving unit!  Okay, so this is a TV Media Stand for movies and such.  But I'm going to use it for some books first, then eventually as I upgrade to bigger shelving I will move it to our spare room where my son is in desperate need of a movie stand.

I was so excited to get the shelf that I just had to put it together.  My son helped me pull everything out and keep the girls back.  But he also was there as a second set on hands, as I can find myself to be all thumbs from time to time.  But, there where several pieces to the setup.  I was a little nervous as first but then realized most of the pieces were 6 little shelves that get placed inside where you want them to be.

The only tools I needed to put this together were a screw driver and a hammer.  Simple and easy.  I found it easy to put together with with the little dial rods and screws used.  Then the back was nailed on.  The only troubles I had was the lock screws, but this was on my own accord as I started with putting them in upside down first and not exactly sure what I need to do with them to make it work right.  But I figured it out soon enough and finished the shelving.

And I just have to mention how quickly I filled it up with the smaller pocket sized books. :) I now get to look at this lovely shelf every day while I sit at my desk. :)

I will say if you need a nice smaller shelving for movies and such, this is so reasonably prices that you should check it out.

CSN Review:

Even though it was very hard to pick what to get from CSN to review, I did make a choose....

This box looks kind of small to be a book shelf... So, what did I get?

 

I did have to wait a short bit for the item to become available in stock again. Then I had to try it out for a week or two before I posted this review.

Yup, I got the floor lamp.  It came well packaged in the inside box, with styerfoam. This one is PERFECT for book readers.  Why you ask?  Well, the arm with the lamp coming off the side is movable in the way of direction to point the lamp.  (The together picture is at the bottom of the post.)

The lamp was pretty much already together!  I just had to twist the pieces together and place on the lamp shades.

And let me tell you.  I am SOOO attached to this item I don't want to leave the couch!  Yes, I purchased the floor lamp with the light off the side for reading.  I love this set up!  It is perfect for reading and to give light for a room.  The light that is an arm can be bent and turned in the direction needed.  It has really brightened up my reading/typing space and the room as well.

I love the classic look to it with the black and style of the lamp shades.  I am now wanting more of these to place around the house in my favorite areas, especially now with building our new home I would love to have a few more lamps to decorate with.
