Recommendation:  Oh yes!!  Do you enjoy mind challenging games?  And PNR books?  This is a wonderful game for you!  Even if you don't read books.

Review:
Oh this was a wonderful mind challenging game that also links to the PNR book world.  First, no, you don't have to read the books to play the game.  I haven't *shame on me* I do want to though, after playing these games.  The game easily walks you through the stages with clips of the characters and what you are to do to get to the next phase, so no pre-reading needed.

To start the game, you get to pick the Option of Difficulty; Casual which is with sparkles over areas of interest (which I used) or Advanced which is with out the sparkles and the tutorial is turned off.  Maybe now that I've played the game once and know what I'm to do ahead of time, I could play with the Advanced level to take the challenge up a step for me.

It is nice to see the clips and scene shots as we go through the game.  To see what it is we are working for.  We find ourselves in Dela's home, the theater, the morgue, and many other places around Dela's home town.  And even trying to save her friend!

To Save Kit

There are different types of mystical puzzles with in this whole process to challenge you.  I will say it is amazing the way ones mind works.  I found a few challenges to be particularly hard for me, and I started to get frustrated.  This however is my personality, I don't like it when I can't get something right quickly.  But I sat back looked at the screen, and did the hand palm thing as I saw exactly what I was missing.  Yeap.  That is what I LOVE about these games.  They really made me think, the whole purpose, as I don't like when I can breeze through games without batting an eyelash.  This game had me working, and I loved it for it.

Magi Ritual Room

There are games with hidden items, connect the pieces to create parts and paths, find parts then complete the puzzles inside.  Puzzles inside puzzles.  You have to do one stage of finding the "pieces" that will then open up another puzzle to solve.  You are not limited to just the one screen you are on either.  Some pieces could be back on another screen.  You have to go find them.

But there are clues!  You can earn extra clues to help you get to the parts you can't find because they are hidden so well.  I did get stumped a few times, and used the journal to track what I was to do, as I had a few puzzles going at one time, and the hints button to get to where I needed to be, when I was off on another screen.

As a whole this game took me a little over 5 hours to complete.  I even got caught up in playing it over the weekend, and lost track of time.  So easy to do.

My Review:
This game is based on on the Romance Novel by Marjorie M. Liu, Tiger Eye.  Stop! Don't run away at the mention of Romance.  I was concerned at how much romance this game would have.  It is not overly done at all.  I had no reason to worry, and neither do you.  The scenes you get in the game are done in good taste, with a graphic novel feel.  I found I enjoyed the short scenes, as a short show and break from the games.  These scenes made the games all the more fun for me to get through.

If you enjoy brain teasers I think you will enjoy this game.  I love brain teasers, and really enjoyed playing this game.  I loved bending my mind a little to play these games.  It took me about seven hours total to get through the game.  I felt the puzzles where fun and not overly taxing on me to try to figure out.  They where enough to get me to work my brain by not overly hard for me, that I wanted to give up.  Don't worry though, the game gives you directions with what you are to do with each game and if you have difficulty you can get hints or clues to help.  The evenings I sat down to play these games I found I would loose track of time and wanted to keep going into the night.

What kind of games where here to play you asked.  There are many different ones.  There are at each level a scene picture, based in China as the story starts there, with many items you need to find.  While finding these items you will also have three mini-games.  These mini-games could be word puzzles, puzzles with pictures needing rearranged or puzzles to piece together.  You also get bonus rounds at times to earn extra points, these are timed as you find 2 or 3 identical objects on the screen. 

Now, I need to go back through and play this game again.  As I finished the game I realized I didn't save up enough points to get to view the extra scenes and I would love to see them.  I have also added the novel the game is based on to my wishlist of books, Tiger Eye.  Yes, you DO NOT have to read the book to play the game.

This game is the first part of two.  I am looking forward to part two coming out as I am curious to see where the story goes along with more wonderful games to play.
