Augustus |
By: Alex White
Format: Podcast; 31 minutes
Genre: Fantasy
Episode: 9 of 37
Synopsis:
Augustus and Isabelle have words regarding Jonathan's methods, and Jonathan has a frightening encounter with a strange creature. Will Jonathan survive?
My Thoughts and Summary:
Isabelle is upset with Augustus for his attitude toward Jonathan. And we get to see why Augustus isn't happy with, or cares for, Jonathan. Augustus claims to have seen Jonathan torture and murder the remaining Antonello's, even though they were bad and torturous themselves. Jonathan is hungry as he tries to sleep, and ventures to the kitchen. While there the room explodes with plants, wood, stone, and Jonathan finds himself in a land where winter has past, and a strange, scary, powerful new creature seems to be trying to communicate, then attack him. Then seeing a dark shadow creep across the sky takes him to a feared place, then he finds himself back in the kitchen. Jonathan had a prophecy. What does it all mean? And what of Jonathan's history?
The side that Augustus tells of Jonathan makes me curious. But then Jonathan remembers the time when he was stabbed and hurt by Henry Antonello. So this makes me wonder what part of the story is true, or maybe both are with different views. But we do see there could be some friction between some characters here, in the future.
In the talks of Antonello's we learn of a fight and Cog's body had to be recreated for her. Hmmm. Yes, you read that right. I still love the hints and clues relating to Cog.
Oh, this episode has me curious about Jonathan and his history! I want to know what all he can really do. We see he can have prophecies, but there has to be something more to kill in the way that Augustus hints at. Definitely an episode to spark my curiosity even higher!
Oh my! This episode is so full of information. It is definitely one worthy or a re-listen, and a re-listen again in the future as I know it's all going to come into play over time here.

Astrid |
Format: Podcast, 22 minutes
Episode: 10 of 37
Synopsis:
Jonathan and the others debate his future as an oracle, and a new Agent must face a terrifying enemy. Will she survive?
My Thoughts and Summary:
Jonathan rests, but hears Isabelle's raised voice, mad at someone. Jonathan finally goes to see what it is they are heatedly discussing after hearing his name. His future is in question. Captain Keegan is preparing his report, that could very well cause Jonathan to be locked up for the rest of his life, being a seer; and the Seekers only have one other seer employed through them. We then meet a new team of agents who have a run in with the Hangman. There are two who survive, and bring more questions along with them.
This one posed some questions for me. I wonder why Jonathan would be locked up being a seer, but then I guess they wouldn't want others to get him as well, but is there something more there? Cog seems to know much more about Jonathan's powers, so there has to be more there. She had mentioned there was something 'inside' him. Makes me wonder.
Then we have the new Agents we meet, Maeve and Astrid. Now Astrid has a mysterious sound to her after listening to this episode. And she is the one to give an opposite view of the Seekers organization. Interesting, as we started to get a feel of that from Cog previously. I wonder why or how Astrid's eyes changed colors, and... she knows who the Hangman is!?! Hmmm...
I do think I want to know more about this Astrid as well!
