Book Cover & Description: Bitterblue

Okay, so I haven't read these books yet.  But I do have the first 2 set in this world on my shelf, and the kid read 1 of them ~ Graceling, and kinda liked it.  So I think I'll need to add to the set, and I'm particle to shades of blue. ;)

I've missed that this one was announced, so I'm sharing it now that I saw it on my Amazon Email....

Goodreads Synopsis:
Eight years after Graceling, Bitterblue is now queen of Monsea. But the influence of her father, a violent psychopath with mind-altering abilities, lives on. Her advisors, who have run things since Leck died, believe in a forward-thinking plan: Pardon all who committed terrible acts under Leck’s reign, and forget anything bad ever happened. But when Bitterblue begins sneaking outside the castle—disguised and alone—to walk the streets of her own city, she starts realizing that the kingdom has been under the thirty-five-year spell of a madman, and the only way to move forward is to revisit the past. Two thieves, who only steal what has already been stolen, change her life forever. They hold a key to the truth of Leck’s reign. And one of them, with an extreme skill called a Grace that he hasn’t yet identified, holds a key to her heart.

What do you think?  I like the face and eye in background, and curious about the beautiful keys there.

Dunno...Graceling was so YA that it made me roll my eyes, a big disappointment. But Fire, that one was awesome

I have been meaning to read this series as it comes so highly recommended. I love YA novels about strong female warriors!

Blodeuedd - Maybe wait and see what everyone compares the book to, Graceling or Fire. :) I need to get to reading them, one of these days.

StephanieD - I hear ya. I have both Graceling and Fire here to read, but haven't had the chance to get to them. :) Thank you!
