No worries, I'll be off line...

I wanted to do a quick post to let you all know I'll be off line for a little while.  I am hoping only about a week.

We have been working on having a house built, and it is done.  I am excited.  I have taken off work Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday to try to get packed up and moved in.  I'm not really looking forward to moving.  But I am excited to get into the new house.  The nice thing about this move is it is right across the street from where I'm at, so we wont be going far.  When we bought our current home there was two acres that went with the house which was across a small alley.  So we finally got the deal we where hoping for, or at least close to it, and just couldn't pass it up.

I am hoping to be able to sneak in from time to time over the week.  But our internet, cable, and phone will be changed to the new home over the process so I could be down until I get it set up in the new house.  But I will try to check in here if I can.  And my loving husband is taking all next week off to get moved in as well.  So, when he is home I don't get to stop in as much as I would like as he always has projects for me to do, and I am very sure there will be loads of them with moving in. :)

So wish me luck that we don't ding up the walls to badly and it all goes smoothly. :)  Thank you for baring with me.  I will miss you all in this short period of time.

While I'm drowning in boxes, I hope you all have a wonderful time and enjoy your weekend coming up.

  1. How exciting, a brand new house, with new house smell. Enjoy and put your books away first, that's the most important thing!!

  2. Bookmagic - :) Thank you! And it does have a new house smell to it. :) I do have my books on the main priority. I have to get one more special tote for them and I think I'll have them all covered. And the person to be carrying them, better be ready for a sharp eye on them. ;)

Robyn - I'm still going to try to stop in expecially for our chat, which is scheduled to post at 6:30 am. :) I don't have a lot of boxes so I will be stopping in in the morning after I get the kid on the bus to chat for a few.

WonderBunny - Thank you! It took some lean and hard years to get here. We are really excited. :)

I'll have to post a few pictures when we get all settled, if you all would like to see. :)

    Thank you all again!

  6. Seak - Thank you! And tell your wife she will have hers in all good time too. :) You're still in school and a new little one. Once you're out of school and working full time, I'm sure you'll save up the money to be there too. :) It really was a long haul for us, from nothing (literally nothing!) to where we are now. It's not the fanciest house around, but at these times we went more practical and footage wise for the buck. :) You'll both get there.

Arya - Thank you so much! LOL! I'm the packrat here. And my husband likes to remind me of that. I'm starting to really see it since I've started packing. I think I'll be in trouble when we start moving stuff. :) Thank you!

Cecile Smutty Hussy - Hey Hon! Thank you so much! I've been trying for three months to picture where everything is going to go. I think I've had everything in about every room...three times. ;D Oh, I hope it all falls into place, I think it will. But I will still be unpacking in a few years too. You never get completely unpacked. Thank you so much! Hugs to you.

  7. Shoot. I forgot to pack. Well, just save some space for me and the pooches and we will be by to unpack.... our stuff... in the reading room. ;)

Hope you enjoy the new house!

  8. The packing is never the fun part. For some reason though I love unpacking and putting things into a new place. I'm glad you guys are finally getting to move and I wish a quick one.

  10. Congratulations on the new house! I love all of the potential of a new home....decorating, setting up the rooms, rearranging my bookshelves. Have fun! :D

  11. Melissa (Books&Things) - You are very welcome to unpack into the reading room. I could always use more! ;D And the girls could always use new play mates. They might wear your pooches out thought. They really are enjoying all their running room. ;D

Ryan - Thank you so much for the wishes. I am actually having fun with this unpacking this time around. Surprising to me, but I'm not rushed and there seems to be enough room for it all, which makes a huge difference.

Alisha - Thank you! And I can't wait to return full time here again. I'm missing everyone terribly. I'm hoping to be back into swing here by the end of the week and making my rounds.

Alexia - Thank you! I have been enjoying all the new stuff. And to play with the books. ;D I have soooo been looking forward to that. It's my bonus after doing things like the kitchen or the bathroom decor. I get to play in my den. ;)
