Monday's Beginnings (73)

How are you faring in reading at the beginning of this week?  Are you starting a new book or finishing one up?

Well, I don't know what to say this Monday Morning.  I've got so much to do and don't know what to do first. :)  There is still a lot to do with moving that we didn't do; still move stuff into new house, put pictures up, blah, blah, blah.  And truth be told, I don't want to do any of it.  But it looks as this weekend the time will be spent there.  I have loads of books I want to get through as well.  I did finish The Half-Made World by Felix Gilman and plan on having the review up this week.  I started Siren's Call by Devyn Quinn yesterday, and enjoy it thus far.  I will finish Happy Hour of the Damned this week for the chat on Thursday, so all of you waiting for this can join in - Mark your calendars. :)  But I hope to get that review done over the weekend.  So, I'm hoping for a big week then the weekend will be a bust on reading, but if the week is good I'll be happy.

Don't forget the GIVEAWAY for Never Tempt Danger by Denise Robbins!  It ends Tuesday January 18, 2011 at 11:59 pm EST.  Just comment to enter!  Easy as pie.  CLICK HERE to go enter.

My WANT list... I've added 14 books!  Unreal!  I have to say some of these books are to series I've started and am enjoying and others are new books to come out that sound amazing.  So wonderful list of books to look forward to getting one of these days.  You all are wonderful at sharing these amazing books to keep eyes out for.  Thank you!

Received Last Week:

Okay, don't yell at me.  I've been trying to be a good girl with all after the holidays and dentist visits and blah blah... life stuff.  But, there will be a day sometime soon here I will break down and go on a binge shopping and blow the bank account to the red.

So, how are you faring this week?  Does it look like a good reading week for you?

Here's to wishing you all the best in words and pages.

  2. I'm *almost* finished with Richard Kadrey's KILL THE DEAD. It's so good! Already, I can hardly wait for ALOHA FROM HELL to come out. :)
I dunno what I'll read next. Maybe something sweet & frothy, that will not take too much brain-power to digest... After all, SHADOWFEVER comes out tomorrow and I want to be able to dive right in!
    Have a great week!

  7. Well this week is looking to be a promising reading week. I have the next 3 days off with very little planned on them.

I finished up one book this week and I am over half way done with a second. So that is my goal to at least finish book 2 and get into a 3rd.

I did get one book last week but I know I have a few coming my way, I just haven't seen them yet. I did however refrain from buying anymore this past week. Not an easy task as you well know =)

I hope you find some quiet, reading time to yourself this week. Remember you may still have a ton left to do on the new house but it will be there tomorrow as well =)

  8. Melissa (I swim for oceans) - At least we always have another book to pick up with these mountains called a wish list. ;) And hope you do have a great week this week. Thank you!

Rissatoo - I'll say I hope you review Kill the Dead. It might make me want to start the series. :) Hope you have a great week and got your copy of Shadowfever. :)

Larissa - Hey Hun! Oh I really am enjoying Happy Hour. :) I hope you will join us for the chat on Thursday for the finish of the book. :)

Blodeuedd - Oh, glad to hear your having a great week. :) I seem to be hitting a brick wall with getting through the blogging stuff. I need to get to the reviews but it seems to not happen. :) Always running behind.

Melissa (Books&Things) - LOL!! ROTF. Thank you. You so know me. ;D I'm really really trying. But it's not going to last much longer. We are going to the mall of Friday for lunch so you know what that means... more books! And I just ordered a shelf to put books on. So I will have to fill it up. (although with what I already have, it might be full) ;)

Cari - It's so hard starting out the new year and trying to watch. I was starting to get carried away there the last few months and figured I had to rell it in some. Glad to hear you are doing so good too. We will support each other.

Zia - Sounds like you are going to have a great week! I hope it's working out that way for you. :) Oh, and thank you for wishing me quiet reading time. :) Really appreciate it. I try to not over do it as I really want to do regular things too, but some days the house seems to win. But thank you!
