We have come to our first stop in the last Sirantha Jax book, Endgame by Ann Aguirre. Wow. This is so comfortable and heart-filling/breaking. Love this series.
I don't know how long I can hold out before finishing the second half. So, lets get to chatting!
**WARNING: There will BE SPOILERS, in comments and questions. If you've not read the series, and plan to, or afraid of spoiling the book for you, don't read any further.
To get us started we have a few thoughts to get chatting. Anything else you might think of, just mention in the comments and we'll join in.
Robyn's Questions:
1.) I'm missing Dina. Do you think we'll see any of the old gang by the end of the book or is their story over:
2.) Speaking of being over. Do you think March and Jax are safe? Will they get a true happy ending?
3.) What do you think of Sasha?
4.) If March and Jax don't end up together, what about Vel? Would you be okay with them being together?
Melissa's Questions:
1.) How much longer do you think March will hold back from completely joining the war? What about Sasha and joining the cause?
2.) What do you think of the new characters? Farrah kinda reminds me of the old Jax when she was fighting under March. What do you think?
3.) Do you completely trust Tarn and Leviter?

I am so nervous for Jax and March. I'm keeping my fingers crossed they'll make it through this.
ReplyDeleteI was surprised to see him even more in the book. I thought he would maybe make an appearance but that was it. Of course, I'm happy he's in it but I seriously thought I would go through March withdrawal.
Oh I think March is a big thing in Jax's life, so he had to play a big part here. I was waiting to see how he would get stuck on the world with her. :) I was so excited when he did. And I'm liking Sasha this round. He's really grown up!
DeleteYou know I wasn't sure if I was going to like Sasha.
DeleteBut I'm glad I was proven wrong. I like the kid so far. :)
Yeah, I was afraid he'd be kind of a selfish spoiled kid with March catering to him. lol. So glad he's taken with Jax. And I think seeing March saddened when she left made a big impact on him. That's good.
DeleteI like Farrah but I don't think she'll have be Dina. I miss Dina and Hit. I hope somehow they can make an appearance.
ReplyDeleteIn the end they all have to return some how. Right? I do kinda miss Dina's harsh personality. She was great with Jax.
DeleteFarrah kind of reminds me of Jax all that long ago when she was fighting with March. She is strong and is in love with the leader. :)
I like Farrah but yeah, she is no Dina. :)
DeleteSasha. Very interesting kid. I worry about him though. I feel like he'll be fighting behind March's back. March feels pretty strong about Sasha staying out of everything. When Jax and crew left, I seriously thought Sasha would sneak onto the ship with the crew.
ReplyDeleteHa ha, funny you say that as I thought the exact same thing with Sasha. :D
DeleteYes, he is being good at the moment. But the time is coming when he'll not stand down. When Jax leaves she's leaving for months at a time, so he's growing quickly. And growing anxious about getting involved.
But I'm glad (yet not because I agree with March) but glad they are going to start working with the resistance. They are stuck here for the duration and will have to do something. They aren't going to be 'kept' by Loras for ever.
But maybe the next return home for Jax they will be ready to go with her. :) Then the trouble will start.
I'm wondering if he'll go when March says no or if March will agree.
DeleteDepending on how many turns. I wonder if we'll see Sasha grow up that March can't say no.
I'm curious on how many turns as well. That could make a big difference in what happens.
DeleteMaybe up to when he is a teenager?
DeleteI think March agreed but after 1 more year or something, didn't he? So soon. :)
DeleteSo speaking of turns. Its never mentioned about what year it is, is it? I don't know, I was just curious, haha.
DeleteWell, I have to mention the story started with saying this is not a love story. So where does that leave us? With March and family?
ReplyDeleteI'm hoping March and Jax will be together for the time they have. Jax is going to out live March, I just wish there was some way to make nanites to go in March to make him live forever too. But I don't think he would want that.
I think there is a chance of some sort of relation ship with Vel, but not lovers, as they live for years upon years together.
I was thinking. I know this is in first person but could Jax even out live March? Something could go wrong. Of course I want her to live, haha.
DeleteBut I am curious to know if we'll see one of them die or will we see Jax in the future after March's death.
I also hope we kinda get a happy ending. We know March won't live forever but knowing the book ends where they are happily in love and will spend the rest of their days together, would make me happy.
I wondered as well. But since the book started as Jax talking, I think she'll live. But I do have a fear one will die for us to see.
DeleteSee I don't know. I've read books where the last word is when they died. Or the next chapter is a whole new character talking about the death.
DeleteHmm, we'll have to read on to see. lol. I am rather curious to see how this ends though.
DeleteI know Tarn and Leviter are helping, but for some reason I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I think there is more motive to their helpings than we know. I just don't know what it is. Do you think there is more to it than leads on?
ReplyDeleteI would definitely watch out for Tarn and Leviter.
DeleteI bet they will be the problem in the future. I don't trust them either.
Maybe it won't be both but it will be one of them.
I'm not sure if it's one or the other. It seems Tarn and Leviter are a couple. I didn't get that impression until reading this book. Interesting.
DeleteOne could be undercover or both.
DeleteI have to say I don't feel like I have as many questions on this book thus far. It does have a finality feel to it even now. There is a lot going on with the revolution, and I'm very curious to see the way it works out along with Jax and March. And even what comes of Sasha.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid Ann is going to kill March and Jax will take Sasha with her. That is a fear that could very well come true.
Haha, I didn't have many questions either. I don't know if it's because it's the last book or not. But I feel like I should have more questions. We still have a half of the book to read.
DeleteI never thought of that, Jax watching Sasha after March's death. That would be interesting.
I kept thinking we should be questioning more too. And still think that, but it seems that we are having happenings, and not grown mystery any more. Strange.
DeleteI hate when that happens but it is the last book. I'm almost afraid to read the next section because once it's over, it's over.
DeleteSad really. But Ann has another series that's a spin off in this world. So I'm wondering if it's Dina that she follows. Now that we know Dina is off on her own ship. I'm curious to see what that series is as this is a huge world to visit. There is so much here we haven't even touched on.
DeleteMaybe it's Sasha, haha.
DeleteOkay, question for you Robyn. Can we skip a week before we start Gunmetal Magic? I feel like I have a few things to get caught up on here. Finish Jax this week, take a week off, then go to Gunmetal? Or do you have other things going on? We can put off a little longer if you need. Then what is after that? I'll have to look through our list again to see what's up after Gunmetal Magic.
ReplyDeleteNot a problem. I'm re-reading A Wrinkle in Time for banned book week so between that and Dead Reckoning and finishing up Endgame, I'm booked this week, haha.
