Word Verification Balderdash
is a weekly meme hosted by Sheila at One Person's Journey Through a World of Books.
This is very easy to do.
If you comment on blogs you can do this too.
Write down all the word verifications you get while posting comments on other peoples blogs.
You then play Balderdash with them.
In case you don't know how to play, you take the made up word and come up with an authentic sounding definition for it.
Do this for a week and then post your best or favorite ones every Thursday.
Here are mine for this week:
agramper - This is that book you just can't put down. The one you lock yourself in the bedroom or bathroom away from all others in the family because you can't quit turning the pages and just want to devour the book at this very moment just to know what happens and how it ends.
typectog - This is the cramp in your hand from typing non-stop for the whole day.
tomence - This is the menced tomatoe loaf. This is the very tasty vegetarian version of meatloaf made with fresh vegetables but mainly home grown tomatoes.
glensm - This is the gleam seen in childrens eyes. That first sight of something that just makes them glow from the inside out. The very first instant when their eyes just start to sparkle at the wonder they are seeing.
Great words this week, I loved them all but agramper is awesome. I find that happening all the time.
ReplyDeleteIt's too bad we can't put our lives on hold when we come across an agramper.
ReplyDeleteTo be young again and experience glensm.
Great words as usual!
Great job!
ReplyDeleteLove agramper! Never locked myself in the bathroom though...will have to remember that trick!
May have to stop typing soon, as I think my typectog is acting up. :D
Ryan - agramper seems to catch me all the time anymore.
ReplyDeleteDeb - I would love to put life on hold for an agramper. Yes, the amazing feeling of glensm would be great to experience again as a chile. (know that I have an idea of what life is more about)
Alexia - Glad you liked agramper! Yes, try the bathroom at times. It helps when no one in the family will leave you alone. I can get away with it for a little while, at least get through that point in the book that you just don't want bothered through.
Thank you all for stopping by!
Lovely words. Typectog is something I get often. :)
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned the link tabs on my blog. Here is the tutorial I used to make them. It tells you how to make simple text links, link boxes, or menu buttons (this is the option I used). Have fun!
Hi, Melissa! The tomence sounds really, really yummy! It has two of my favorite things -- tomatoes and meatloaf!
ReplyDeleteLa Coccinelle - Thank you sooo much for the link to the tutorial. I am going to check that out.
ReplyDeletePeter - tomence sounds good to me as well. We love our meatloaf and tomatoes are on the top of the list as well. Glad you enjoyed it!
