I found this picture of Trinity College Library, and thought it would work for this meme with a little play with lighting and adding the words.
Let's talk about those books already on the shelves, yours or the stores.
I have a post for books I'm looking forward to coming out;
Looking Forward To...
But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on the shelves.
Whether it be on your shelf waiting to be read or on the shelves in the stores waiting for you to give it a good home.
So, I thought I would share a book a week that is just waiting for me to travel through it's world.
Now... where do I start? Lets go by Published Date on the books...
This Week:
My son talked me into purchasing this one for him, which is still on the shelf... I would like to try this series as so many do enjoy it. :)
Goodreads Synopsis:
Twelve-year-old Artemis Fowl is a millionaire, a genius—and, above all, a criminal mastermind. But even Artemis doesn't know what he's taken on when he kidnaps a fairy, Captain Holly Short of the LEPrecon Unit. These aren't the fairies of bedtime stories—they're dangerous! Full of unexpected twists and turns, Artemis Fowl is a riveting, magical adventure.
I've heard back from a few bloggers that they would like to join in this meme post, so I'm adding a Linky for you to join in. Grab the picture above, and join in. All I ask, is if you can acknowledge my blog in the post so others know where to come back to and join as well. Thank you.
I read this book when it first came out. However, I don't remember most of it and I haven't read the rest (couldn't get them at the library then... it was too popular). I do remember that I did enjoy it. I hope your son really likes this one. :)
ReplyDeleteMelissa (B&T) I think kiddo tried starting it, but didn't get far for some reason. But I'm curious with all you hear about this series. :)
DeleteHow did I not know about this meme?! This is pretty much perfect for my life. Before I start blogging I never heard about new releases until they were already on the NYTBS list and being sold by the millions. That's what happened with Divergent and The Hunger Games. I'm just happy I found them before it was decided a movie was going to be made and the craze really went into overdrive. But back to my point: I have SO many books lying around that I've bought and just never got to. There's also a lot of good books I know are waiting for me in the bookstores that I have put off from buying for one reason or another. I love the idea of a meme about this! I'll post mine later this afternoon!
ReplyDeleteChristine P, well, glad you found the meme now and love it. :) That is exactly why I started this meme, but I've been stuck with what I have waiting here on my shelves for a long time. lol. Thank you!!!
DeleteI've read some books a long time ago. it's the series where we have a movie isn't it?
ReplyDeleteMelliane, I have to get to these. And I think there is a movie based on them. :) Thank you.
DeleteThat's a great choice! I read this book when I was a kid (and re-read it a thousand times)! Artemis is a great character and I think that you'll enjoy not only this book but also the rest in the series! :-)
ReplyDeleteOh wow! That's great to hear Creative Mind. That you've enjoyed the books so much. :) Makes me feel better about the choice. :) Thank you!
