I found this picture of Trinity College Library, and thought it would work for this meme with a little play with lighting and adding the words.
Let's talk about those books already on the shelves, yours or the stores.
I have a post for books I'm looking forward to coming out;
Looking Forward To...
But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on the shelves.
Whether it be on your shelf waiting to be read or on the shelves in the stores waiting for you to give it a good home.
So, I thought I would share a book a week that is just waiting for me to travel through it's world.
Now... where do I start? Lets go by Published Date on the books...
This Week:
My son talked me into purchasing this one for him, which he did read. And I think I might want to pick it up to try and see what the boys are enjoying in this series.
Goodreads Synopsis:
They told him his uncle died in a car accident. Fourteen-year-old Alex knows that's a lie, and the bullet holes in his uncle's windshield confirm his suspicions. But nothing prepares him for the news that the uncle he always thought he knew was really a spy for MI6--Britain's top secret intelligence agency. Recruited to find his uncle's killers and complete his final mission, Alex suddenly finds himself caught in a deadly game of cat and mouse.
I've heard back from a few bloggers that they would like to join in this meme post, so I'm adding a Linky for you to join in. Grab the picture above, and join in. All I ask, is if you can acknowledge my blog in the post so others know where to come back to and join as well. Thank you.
Oh this does sound interesting. I'd be interested to know how you both like this book. :)
ReplyDeleteMelissa (B&T) The kiddo enjoyed it, but didn't dive into the second book. Actually after this one he read Rot & Ruin and then dove into the second book of that series. He was really taken with it. :) Thank you!
DeleteOoh...the Alex Rider series, gotcha. Yeah, always was a bit curious about those. It made it on the local school reading list last year. Will definitely watch for your thoughts!
ReplyDeleteGina R. It seems to go around the schools here too. Kiddo finally wanted to give it a go. Don't know if we'll be sharing our thoughts on it, I've got lots of review books to hit first. :) Thank you!
DeleteI saw the movie..I think? was there a movie?
ReplyDeleteIs there a movie Blodeuedd? I didn't know that. That would explain why the kids started reading it for their AR tests. LOL! They "read the book" and watched the movie. LOL! Thank you!
DeleteI've seen the movie. Blodeuedd is right, there is one, well I've only seen one. Didn't know there were books
ReplyDeleteOh wow Rivie Bleu! I'll have to see about getting the movie. That's cool to learn. :D Thank you!
DeleteI've been hearing about this too, and I hope to find the time for it soon. Sounds great!
ReplyDeleteOh thank you Maja (The Nocturnal Library) It seems to be a hit with the kids around here each year. :)
