By: O.M. Grey
Genre: Victorian Vampire Steampunk Romance
Chapter: 3
Format: Podcast, 22:42 minutes
Book Synopsis:
Arthur has made his existence as a vampire bearable for over three hundred years by immersing himself in blood and debauchery. Aboard an airship gala, he meets Avalon, an aspiring vampire slayer who sparks fire into Arthur's shriveled heart. Together they try to solve the mystery of several horrendous murders on the dark streets of London. Cultures clash and pressures rise in this sexy Steampunk Romance.
My Thoughts and Summary:
Arthur prepares for the Airship Gala and thinks on which woman he will seduce, Emily or Hazel, or maybe both. That would be a challenge with them both being friends. But decides to let the evening lead the way. When Arthur boards the Airship and meets Emily's niece, Avalon, things seem to take a different approach for him.
We learn a few little tidbits about Arthur and and vampires, like vampires do have a reflection in the mirror, however it is faint. We meet more of Arthur's servants.
We board the airship in this chapter and get quite the view of the workings, elegant stairs to the ballroom, the ballroom itself, and then to the deck above the ballroom overlooking the view of the park below. We do hear there is a strange reading from one of the pressure valves, which makes me a little bit curious as it sounds as it's acted up before. But on we go with the evening.
We see the ladies from Arthur's late afternoon in the park are here; Emily, Hazel, and Eliza, and another whom is turned away from us at first. When the young woman turns Arthur is taken by her appearance! She looks exactly as his Catherine did, with the exception of her black hair. We meet Avalon, Emily's niece.
All other women have slipped Arthur's mind as he's taken by Avalon's appearance. We learn of Avalon's naming and Arthur's as well. Avalon seems to be tough to crack. I'm curious to see Arthur work to get to know Avalon. Emily seem's to be needy of Arthur's attentions. I can see him getting tired of Lady Bambridge quickly, but he'll handle as a gentleman should.

Chapter: 4
Format: Podcast, 16:31
My Thoughts and Summary:
The gears grind as they start to move then turn to a whirl as the airship is ready to fly. Emily seems to be upset with Arthur as his attention is caught by Avalon and leaves to talk to others. Arthur seems to catch Avalon's eye for a moment as he is picked to help release the sandbags to lift off.
Avalon seems to be captivated with the airship more than the gala, or Arthur. She has a strange way, She has a very interesting gear earpiece. This makes me rather curious about her. She seems to be eavesdropping on other couples and conversations, maybe joining in for a few words, but touching the earpiece and talking into her sleeve as she walks around.
Very curious! I want to know what she is doing and looking for.
Lord Nickolas Stanton shows up again and we learn a few small tidbits about him. I'm not sure yet, but wondering on if he is a vampire as well or just an "active" young Lord.
Arthur has watched Avalon through the evening and positions himself to be near her when they disembark from the airship. Arthur tries his best to catch Avalon's attention and asks to call on her again, that maybe she could teach him about this new technology. Avalon politely shuts Arthur down! Now, it seems, Arthur will become rather close to Emily Bainsbridge, to get close to the interesting and curious Avalon.
