Quick Thoughts:
It was a neat idea in a vampirian dystopian type world where humans are pretty much extinct. And the vampires will have nothing left to drink, and working on a synthetic blood.
It was interesting to see the world, and the way the vampires can be "saved." But was kind of a slow moving movie. Husband agreed with me, just okay. Nothing to really write home about.

Quick Thoughts:
I'd been wanting to see this assassin movie for some time. A special sect of assassins, and this young man learns someone is out to kill him. He learns their ways, but does he really belong with them?
This was a let down for me. I think the great action scenes are in the commercials....the car part where she spins to scoop him up before he's hit. Yea, there are a few others, but not as much. I will say I enjoyed the last half, maybe quarter, of the movie the best. When the storyline really took hold and we got to what is really going on in the movie. Other than training the kid.
It just seemed to take to long to explain this special group and go through training with the kid.
It wasn't what we were expecting, husband agrees. Just an okay watch, again nothing to brag about.
I did see Wanted and I agree with you. So much potential, but it fell flat for me. I think the action overtook the plot.

Melissa (Books&Things) Yes, I wanted more than just the action and there was a great idea here for WANTED to be more. I do hope you enjoy DAYBREAKERS when you see it. It's a good idea, but wasn't what I was expecting I think. :) Thank you.

DeleteI agree for wanted but I really liked daybreakers even if there are more great movies. I liked the idea they had.
ReplyDeleteMelliane, so glad to hear you enjoy Daybreakers. I think I was expecting something other than what I got. Not a bad thing, but I did like the idea of the vampires and how to get ride of the "virus" (for lack of a better word). :) Thank you!
