I did write a Flash Fiction Friday again too.  I hope you enjoy it if you jump over to it. :) But, you can click here to go see it.  And if you'd like say hi while there too.

My WANT list...well, I don't know what I'm doing.  I only added 3 books.  I'm crazy I think.  Suffering from a mind melding dysfunction.  I should have many more books on here.

Books Received:
From a Friend:
I have to thank a wonderful person I've meet and chatted about books for some time now on Twitter and Goodreads.  She is a great person, and she sent me her copy of this book as she was done with it and don't keep the books.  She is converting all over to ebooks.  Thank you 365andme!
Goodreads Synopsis:
Jason Walker has often wished his life could be a bit less predictable--until a routine day at the zoo ends with Jason suddenly transporting from the hippo tank to a place unlike anything he's ever seen. In the past, the people of Lyrian welcomed visitors from the Beyond, but attitudes have changed since the wizard emperor Maldor rose to power. The brave resistors who opposed the emperor have been bought off or broken, leaving a realm where fear and suspicion prevail.

In his search for a way home, Jason meets Rachel, who was also mysteriously drawn to Lyrian from our world. With the help of a few scattered rebels, Jason and Rachel become entangled in a quest to piece together the word of power that can destroy the emperor, and learn that their best hope to find a way home will be to save this world without heroes.

Purchased:
Yes, I was on a book buying Hiatus.  And then it catches up to me and I go over board.  I even have more books coming in the mail I so desperately had to have.  But I'm now back on the buying hiatus as I'm broke!
Goodreads Synopsis:
Ari can’t help feeling lost and alone. With teal eyes and freakish silver hair that can’t be changed or destroyed, Ari has always stood out. And after growing up in foster care, she longs for some understanding of where she came from and who she is.

Her search for answers uncovers just one message from her long dead mother: Run. Ari can sense that someone, or something, is getting closer than they should. But it’s impossible to protect herself when she doesn’t know what she’s running from or why she is being pursued.

She knows only one thing: she must return to her birthplace of New 2, the lush rebuilt city of New Orleans. Upon arriving, she discovers that New 2 is very...different. Here, Ari is seemingly normal. But every creature she encounters, no matter how deadly or horrifying, is afraid of her.

Ari won’t stop until she knows why. But some truths are too haunting, too terrifying, to ever be revealed.

My brother and I where talking of this series not so long ago, but I have heard wonderful things of it from everyone as well.  So got it on the shelf now to one day read...
Goodreads Synopsis:
Harry Dresden--Wizard
Lost items found. Paranormal investigations.
Consulting. Advice. Reasonable rates.
No Love Potions, Endless Purses, Parties, or Other Entertainment.

Harry Dresden is the best at what he does. Well, technically, he's the only at what he does. So when the Chicago P.D. has a case that transcends mortal creativity or capability, they come to him for answers. For the "everyday" world is actually full of strange and magical things--and most of them don't play too well with humans. That's where Harry comes in. Takes a wizard to catch a--well, whatever.

There's just one problem. Business, to put it mildly, stinks. So when the police bring him in to consult on a grisly double murder committed with black magic, Harry's seeing dollar signs. But where there's magic, there's a black mage behind it. And now that mage knows Harry's name. And that's when things start to get... interesting.

Magic. It can get a guy killed.

This book...Well, I've been reading the series with a great group on Twitter and Goodreads and this is just the next logical step.  And there was only 1 at the bookstore!  So I had to pick it up as when I'm ready for it they just might not have it. ;)
Goodreads Synopsis:
My name is Meghan Chase.

I thought it was over. That my time with the fey, the impossible choices I had to make, the sacrifices of those I loved, was behind me. But a storm is approaching, an army of Iron fey that will drag me back, kicking and screaming. Drag me away from the banished prince who's sworn to stand by my side. Drag me into the core of conflict so powerful, I'm not sure anyone can survive it.

This time, there will be no turning back.

I think I have a big week in pages planned here.  Hoping to get through them as I would like and not have to much going on in the way of running this week.

How are you looking so far this week?  Does it look like a good reading week for you?

Here's to wishing you all the best in words and pages.

  5. I just started Game of Thrones and I'm really hoping I'll finish it by the end of the week --- because it's due back at the library. I hope my reading week progresses as planned and I hope yours does too. And that you find some book money somewhere, under a sofa cushion or in stuffed in a pocket :)
