Well... It's Monday, again...
How are you faring in reading your books? Are you starting a new book for the week or are you still caught up with one? The beginning of the week usually seems to be a great time to start anew. I have seen at times Monday sets the pace for the week for me. So... Have you been able to get much reading time in or are you going to be chasing the week to just catch up with life and reading in the short 24 hour days we have?
I have picked up seven books for on my to read list. These are all books I seriously want to read. Although I am starting to wonder if I am ever going to get to them all. As much as I really want to read them all it is just so hard to get to them all. I just keep shuffling the stack to get to what I need at the time. This is always amazing in helping to keep me out of trouble and keeping this wonderful authors doing what we love so much. Thank you all!
Okay, as for the last week. I was chasing the clock last week. We had a few parties to go to over the weekend which cut back on my reading time. Weekends are usually when I can get most of the book digested, but we were busy almost all weekend with birthdays, graduations, and such. So, I have not finished any books last week. I am still reading Brain Thief by Alexander Jablokov, currently at page 205 out of 383. I am hoping to finish this book this week. I may then have to switch gears to get Cry Wolf in. It's Monday and so many books to read...
So far today, I have been reading this evening for about two hours. I will have to get back to reading here in a few so I can get moving on the books I have here. But I have blogs to visit as well.... Oh well.
So... Let me know how your Monday is going... How are you faring with your reading in the beginning of this new week?

I didn't get much read today even though I had the day off. Hope you get Brain Thief finished!
ReplyDeleteI got one book read last week for a blog tour today and now I'm going to go ahead and finish a first look book this week. I was in a bit of a slump last week so I'm hoping this week is better.
ReplyDeleteDeb - I hate when I have a day off and can't get to reading. It is a bummer when that happens. Hope you have a great reading week!
ReplyDeleteZia - Sounds like you are busy reading! I will have to stop by for the blog tour you are in. Hope you have a wonderful reading week! Sounds like you are on to a great start!
I also haven't gotten too much reading done lately. I started Dune last week which I'm enjoying more then I had expected to, though it's going slower then usual because I have to concentrate harder then I normally do when reading, to make sure I understand everything that's going on. There is all this political stuff going on and made up inventions...the usual scifi stuff.
ReplyDeleteThough I did break down and order for myself two new books that have been on my list for a while. I just wish I could take a vacations somewhere for a week where I would do nothing but read, so I can catch with all my books.
The book Cry Wolf, is that Particia Briggs?
I did finish Partners in Crime this week and enjoyed it, can't wait to discuss the first few chapters tonight.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how much reading I will get done today since I'm glues to the TV to see what the election results will be in MA, Come on Coakley!
I bought a whole bunch of books already so I'm not short of any reading material for later in the week, I did start on Explorer X-Alpha for a review but not in love with it as yet.
Have a great week, and talk to you later.
Hi, Melissa! I think I'm one of the few people who love Mondays. I bought a lot of books over the weekend, so I'm starting one this week -- Neal Shusterman's Everlost. I'm loving it so far.
ReplyDeleteLet's see... I'm late, so that means I was doing ok reading, but not reading my blogs I follow. :D I'm catching up now.
ReplyDeleteSimcha - I read your Where are you and Dune sounds really good. I am looking forward to seeing what you have to say about it in your review. Yeah, Cry Wolf is the one by Patricia Briggs. One forum I visit is having a discussion on Saturday on the book.
ReplyDeleteRyan - Wow, finished already! I am really looking forward to discussin the book tonight. I only read the two chapters we have. Explorer X-Alpha looks good too. Looking forward to your review.
Peter S. - Yeah, I don't know to many people who love Mondays. lol. But it is great that some one does. Everlost - I think I have heard of it. Hope you enjoy it!
Melissa - Don't worry about being late. I seem to always be running behind. I just for once seem to be caught up. Notice I used seem. There is always many things I could be doing. lol.
Melissa,
ReplyDeleteI wanted to drop by and thank you as I have noticed your diligent efforts to support my books. On Amazon, on my blog, and even some very obscure sites and forums, I’ve noticed you posting in my favor. You have been a wonderful cheerleader, and I just wanted you to know that I truly appreciate it. You’ve been great.
Now what do I have to do to get Nyphron Rising moved to the top of that to-read pile of yours?
Hello Michael!
ReplyDeleteI have Nyphron Rising here staring at me. I have been trying to wait on a friend who loves to read with me. We enjoy discussing and speculating on the books as we go. I know she is wanting to read these books, but she has been going thru a time with work and such. I was hoping the new year would open up for her, as it seems to not have. So I have decided to read the book without her. I will go back through the books with her when she is finally able to get to them. I really want to get into this book after hearing Arista has a bigger role here. I am looking at starting the book around February 1st, or possibly sooner if my reading time is uninterupted.
I have been looking at Nyphron Rising here a lot wanting to dig in. I will be doing so very, very soon. Sorry for the delay in getting to it.
