My Own Little Corner of the World is having a contest for $25 Amazon Gift Card!
Now there is a small catch, its nothing big so don't worry. She needs to get to 200 followers by Jan 31, 2010. I think we can help her with that!
Here is the great thing to hear along with the contest information... If she gets to 300 followers she will throw in ANOTHER winner of a $25 Amazon Gift Card!!! How about that! Can we do it?? I think we can. Jump over and follow her blog here.
Thanks for the heads up!!=)
ReplyDeleteAlso, thanks for following me!!=)
Ck.twilighter - You are welcome! And thank you for following me! :) Always fun finding new friends out here.
ReplyDeleteThanks for letting me know about the contest. I hoping that one of these days I'll actually win one of these books store gift cards that I keept trying for.
ReplyDeleteBtw, I joined the Barnes and Nobles forum that you told me about, though I haven't had the time yet to really navigate it. I also find forums rather intimidating, with all the different groups and options, so it takes me a while to figure out whats going on. Which books are they discussing this month?
Glad to help lead you to a contest with a gift card. I enjoy them along with the book contests.
ReplyDeleteI am soo glad to hear you joined Barnes & Nobles forum. I hope you find your way around well. If you need any help let me know and I'll try to help as I can. Ryan at Wordsmithonia also visits there regularly. Currently on Fantasy & Science Fiction the discussion books featured (but we can discuss anything we would like) are:
1) Hawkmoon: The Jewel in the Skull a reissue by Michael Moorcock
2) Brain Thief by Alexander Jablokov (I think due out Jan. 5th)
3) The Dwarves by Markus Heitz
~I have not picked a book yet. I am teetering between Brain Thief and The Dwarves.
In the Paranormal & Urban Fantasy thread we have:
1) Beneath the Skin by Adrian Phoniex
2) Three Days to Dead by Kelly Meding
3) Doppelgangster by Laura Resnick
~I am currently reading Three Days to Dead. I didn't pick up Beneath the Skin because I think it is part of a series and I have not read the first book yet.
I hope you enjoy the forum as well! I look forward to seeing you in discussions.
Doppelgangster is also the second in a series, no? I had loved Laura Resnick's previous fantasy series about the White Dragon but I heard that this one isn't as good. I think I'd like to try Three Days to Dead, since it sounds like you are enjoying it so much. I'm not familiar with any of the scifi and fantasy titles that you listed so I'll have to look them up. I'm enjoying taking part in the Goodread's discussions so I'm eager to try the Barnes and Nobels forum as well.
ReplyDeleteThanks for taking the time to provide me with this info!
Simcha - I didn't know Doppelgangster was a 2nd book. Thanks for letting me know. If you get Three Days to Dead I hope you enjoy it. I am really loving it so far. I am not familiar with any of the SciFi&Fantasy books either. I am not sure which one I am going to get yet. I think it may depend on what is at the store.
ReplyDeleteIt was no problem to get you the info. I am always willing to help out. I hope you enjoy the site. Hope to see you there some time.
