Monday Beginnings (20)

So it is Monday, again...

How are you faring in reading your books or are you starting a new book for the week? The beginning of the week usually seems to be a great time to start anew. I have even found most of the time Monday sets the pace of the way of the week. Have you been able to get much reaading time in or are you going to be rushed this week to just catch up with life and reading in the short 24 hour days we have?

I am still working to try to get back on track with life here. Trying to find that balance between blogging, book clubs, reading, excercising, and life in general.

I have lost track of how many books I have picked up this past week. Which is okay, I have many books on the shelf here to read and so many more on a list to get and read. I am looking forward to all these wonderful books in hopes they will help keep me out of trouble and keep the amazing authors in work - doing what we love best.

I did finish one book this past weekend, Three Days to Dead by Kelly Meding. I have my review up as well. (I think its 2 posts back.) I have started a new book, Inked which is an anthology of four wonderful authors. I have just finished the first short story of the four in the book. So I think I am going to pause on this book to start into Brain Theif by Alexander Jablokov, this is for Barnes and Nobles bookclub discussions.

So far today has gone very well for me in reading. As I got to read during lunch and this evening while cooking dinner and after while my son had the neighbor over and they played.

Let me know how your Monday is going... How are you faring with your reading int he beginning of a new week?

  2. Sad to admit that I haven't had time to read anything since last week. Got caught up with the Bloggiesta, now trying to visit my blogger buddies that I neglected over the weekend. Hoping to get back to my books tomorrow. I'm in the middle of Three Days To Dead! Too funny! :-)

  3. I'm plowing through some books right now. Specifically I'm reading In The Woods by Tana French. Tomorrow is Aidan's birthday so I'm not sure how much reading I will get done then. Have fun with your reads. You need to read The Devil's Alphabet from last month before you read The Brain Thief by the way.

  4. Chandrika Shubham - Welcome! Glad you stopped by! So true. I try my best to manage the time I have to get my reading fix in everyday, but I always enjoy when I can get more time in. :)

Alexia - It always seems there is something going on that sets ya back, at least for me anyway. I get caught up and then something comes up and I am way behind again. I can't wait to see what you think of Three Days to Dead!

Ryan - Tell Aidan HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I just started Brain Thief last night. I want to read Nyphron Rising next as it has been on my tbr shelf for a time here and then Devils Alphabet. You made this one sound really, really great in your review! I have to get to it, I'll just be a little late to the discussions over at B&N. Sorry:(

  6. How do you manage to read while cooking dinner? I would totally mess up whatever I was making if I tried to do that.
I'm determined to read Dune this week and I just finished The Girl in the Arena, which I need to write a review for.

  8. Sheila - I hope you got through your book review. Sometimes we get caught up with other things and some books end up as anchors, I've had a few.

Simcha - LOL!! I was reading while everything was in and I was stirring. I do this once in a while when I am interested in a part and want to get through the book. I am worried at one time I will ruin a book, so I try to be very careful. I am curious of The Girl in the Arena. I have seen it around the blogs, but really not heard anything to convince me on the book. Look forward to your review.

Deb - Hi! Inked is good. I only got through the one short story. I'll pick it back up here after the current read. Glad you are out of your reading slump!!
