It's Monday...and I think I'm glad for it. Hard to believe, right!
It's been one crazy week last week. I didn't even get a chance to get online except for Tuesday. That is terrible! The withdrawal! And reading!?! Ga! I was to busy to even read for the last four days. The kid had all sorts of school things going on and we had school picnic at the amusement park (which we close). Then Friday I slept and did running and sat with my gram for a while. I did get one movie in though. And Saturday was all about running; grocery store, baby shower, and friends stopped over until dark. Yes, I was in bed at 10, and slept all night. Took the girls out early Sunday, and back to sleep on the couch. I got up at 10am to get ready and visit my dad. When I got home I rested, did some blogging and some reading. So, I'm looking forward to getting back to some sort of schedule.
However....this week might not be as normal as usual. I've got lots to do around the house as I'll be gone all weekend. Eeep! Yes, I'm going to Balticon!!! Eeep! I'm so looking forward to it, but have to get the house cleaned up before I go as I'm NOT going to want to do it Monday night when I get home. And I have to make up graduation invitations for my step-daughter. She's graduating from High School! I'm seriously not old enough for that, and neither is my husband! :D
So, here's to hoping this is a fast week! ;D

Just for Thought... on free books and best sellers list
Sorry! I did not do a Flash Fiction Friday. I had an idea and wanted to to one, but time got away from me terribly fast this last week/weekend. I'll try my best to do one this week with all the work I have to get done around home too.
My Want List...I've only added 3 books. Well, what can I say I wasn't on the computer much.
Received Last Week:
Fundraiser Freebie:
I donated to the puppy fund for Skyla Dawn Cameron. Sophie, her dogie, has been having troubles getting tests and ultrasound and so many other tests. If you have a pet that has ever had any small issues, you know the cost of vets and the testing on animals. It's not cheap. So, for any donate amount Skyla gave a free book, and I donated...to help poor little Sophie and to get the book. ;)
Soulless by Skyla Dawn Cameron
Goodreads Synopsis:
Anais Peake was created to devour the souls of otherwise unkillable monsters, but with every soul she eats, she loses a little of her own. She’s been in retirement for eighteen months when her monster hunting best friend shows up one winter night needing help, and so Ani temporarily returns to a life she tried hard to escape.
Their plans go awry on a deserted highway when a harpy attacks and Ani’s friend is killed. Ani is pulled out of the role of sidekick and thrust into the uncomfortable shoes of heroine in a mystery involving both human and otherworldly monsters, with only her neighbour/cat babysitter, an old friend still suffering grief and anger, and an empath funeral director for help to solve her friend’s murder.
But fate has patiently been waiting: Ani was created with a purpose in mind and retirement or not, she has to face what she is and what she's capable of.
Even if her soul doesn't survive it.
So it's been a crazy time, and more crazy times to come.
How does the coming week look for you? With graduations and summer coming, how are you faring?
Here's wishing you all the best in words and pages.
