Throwback Thursday (18)

Let's talk about those books already on the shelves, yours or the stores.

I have a post for books I'm looking forward to coming out;
Looking Forward To...
But what about all those wonderful books that are ALREADY on the shelves.
Whether it be on your shelf waiting to be read or on the shelves in the stores waiting for you to give it a good home.

So, I thought I would share a book a week that is just waiting for me to travel through it's world.

Now... where do I start? Lets go by Published Date on the books...

This Week:

I won this one in a pack of young adult books and thought it sounded good.  I've heard good things and well... But it still sounds good to me.  I will one of these days be able to get to all these books.  Maybe when I retire? :)

Goodreads Synopsis:
Quincie Morris has never felt more alone. Her parents are dead, and her hybrid-werewolf first love is threatening to embark on a rite of passage that will separate them forever. Then, as she and her uncle are about to unveil their hot vampire-themed restaurant, a brutal murder leaves them scrambling for a chef. Can Quincie transform their new hire into a culinary Dark Lord before opening night? Can he wow the crowd in his fake fangs, cheap cape, and red contact lenses — or is there more to this earnest face than meets the eye? As human and preternatural forces clash, a deadly love triangle forms, and the line between predator and prey begins to blur. Who’s playing whom? And how long can Quincie play along before she loses everything? TANTALIZE marks Cynthia Leitich Smith’s delicious debut as a preeminent author of dark fantasy.

  1. I've not heard about Tantalize at all - but it does sound interesting. It almost reminds me of a sequel with the first love threatening to leave though!

I'm in Spain for my throwback this week... http://melsrandomblogs.blogspot.com/2011/06/throwback-thursday-10-angels-game.html

  3. I've read this title and it's okay. I recall being more interested in the werewolf best friend then the new vampire. I do think this one is more YA if anything.

  4. I bought this when it first came out. I didn't love it then but Im going to give it another try - you know it'll get shoved into my TBR pile for awhile! Thanks for reminding me about it.

  6. Mel - This one sounds good, but I've hear people on both sides of the fence on this one. I'm curious but I have so many books here to get through first. Oh, I'll be over shortly. :)

Blodeuedd - :) Thank you. I'll have to slip it in the works here some day... some day... ;)

Chasity - I vaguely remember others saying it was an okay read as well. I just didn't remember much more of what they had said. Hm, maybe the author should do a book with the werewolf friend. ;) Thank you!

Mflick1 - Oh, thank you for stopping by, and glad I could bring a book back into the light for you. :)

Melissa (Books&Things) - It seems to have been a while since this book made it's rounds. *sigh* I just don't know when I'll be able to get to it though.

  7. List me under the column of people who haven't heard of this book, but yes, the cover and synopsis are tantalizing.
