Monday's Beginnings (93)

Well, it's Monday... again...

How are you faring at the beginning of this week?  Are you starting a new book or finishing one up?

*sigh* Well... I think I'm going to have loads of reading to do this week, thanks to the miserable weekend of nasty allergies.  I ended up having a few allergy attacks on Saturday, then one major one Saturday evening.  So I wasn't able to read as my eyes where the ones to take the biggest hit.  I wasn't even able to get on the computer either.

Currently Reading, My plans this week are:
Reading Part 2 of Iron Daughter by Julie Kagawa, then finishing Part 3 over the weekend coming.
Starting Wanderlust by Ann Aguirre for our first discussion on Thursday.
Work on my review book Sword of Fire and Sea by Erin Hoffman.
~~ And I want to get all this done this week!  Lots of reading to get done.

Reviews to Come:
Thief by Sarah-Jane Lehoux

Last Week:
Books I Finished:
Thief by Sarah-Jane Lehoux

okay, so I was a slacker last week.  I was feeling not so well with allergies and fell behind in everything.
Immortalis: Hunters & Prey by Katie Salidas

Boy, I do feel like such a slacker after the week before post.  I need to get back to it here!

I did write a Flash Fiction Friday again on Friday.  I hope you enjoy it if you jump over to read it, it was another quick one.  But, you can click here to read it.  And if you'd like say hi while there. :)

My WANT list...Hmmm, I've only added 4 books to this list.  Now that doesn't seem right to me.  I have to be forgetting to add books as I'm reading reviews.  That is all I can come up with.

Books Received:
Um... I have several books I've ordered that have not shown up yet. I'm really really looking forward to them all coming. :)

Goodreads Synopsis:
A Midsummer's Nightmare? Robin Goodfellow. Puck. Summer Court prankster, King Oberon's right hand, bane of many a faery queen's existence—and secret friend to Prince Ash of the Winter Court. Until one girl's death came between them, and another girl stole both their hearts.

Now Ash has granted one favor too many and someone's come to collect, forcing the prince to a place he cannot go without Puck's help—into the heart of the Summer Court. And Puck faces the ultimate choice—betray Ash and possibly win the girl they both love, or help his former friend turned bitter enemy pull off a deception that no true faery prankster could possibly resist.

An ebook exclusive novella from Julie Kagawa's Iron Fey series.

So, I think I have a big week in pages here.  Hoping anyway. :)

How are you looking so far this week?  Does it look like a good reading week for you?

Here's to wishing you all the best in words and pages

  2. I just finished a book. LOVED it. :)

I'm sorry for your allergies. I don't have pollen allergies, but I'm allergic to strange things like shampoo (well, most of the major brands). So, I can so empathize!

Hope you are feeling much better!

  3. Blodeuedd - They are nice easy ya reads. You might enjoy them. But if you start the series you have to give it two books if you are ify on the first book. But I think you would like them any way. :) Oh, I have Kate Elliott on my want list too. They sound like great reads. :)

Melissa (Books&Things) - Ooo, is this going to be a book you are going to torment me with? ;) I'm looking forward to your review. Oh, thank you. I'm starting to feel normal again this evening. But it took a haul to get there. And to allergic to shampoo. That would be hard to find one to wash with. But thank you. :)

  4. I did not finish one book this past week, although I planned on reading 2 and starting another one. I'm the epitome of slacker :(

I hope we both fulfill our plans this coming week!

  5. Aww no, I hate allergy attacks. :( I had one here at home since we're rebuilding and grass + dust aren't really a good combination when I'm sensitive. So I went to live with my boyfriend over the weekend. Although I still couldn't get to any reading, because I've gotten some kind of spring depression, since I can't sleep when the sun almost never goes down here anymore. Sigh...

  6. StephanieD - Oh, you are not the slacker. You will get through the books when you are ready to. :) We have other things we need to do as well, so no worries. Enjoy them though. :)

Bex - Sounds like you have the alleries bad there too with all you have going on. I hope you are able to get through with them and get over the spring depression. I will be stopping by later tonight. :)

  7. I've been reading too much I think. I'm tearing through books. I think it's because most have been vintage mysteries. I need to read something else but I just can't help it right now. Hope you are having a great week.

  8. Hi Ryan! :) Oh, reading to much!?! I didn't know we could do that. :) Ooo, the vintage mysteries seem to be your weakness. ;) Oh, the week is going well thank you. And I do hope yours is as well. I'm running out of time as usual. :) But, I will be stopping by the blog soon. But by the looks of it tonight, it may be tomorrow. :) Thank you for stopping by!
