Monday's Beginnings (81)

How are you faring at the beginning of this week?  Are you starting a new book or finishing one up?

Well, it's Monday.  I'm hoping this week will be a better week for me as I spent last week exhausted and down with a head cold.  I did however get some good reading in.  Which is guess is the good side to it. :)  So, what did I do?  Well, give me a moment as it's a little fuzzy everything I did.  I feel like I was all over the board last week.
I started and finished Chasing the Bard by Philippa Ballantine ~ Planning on having the review up later this week.
Continued reading The Darkest Edge of Dawn by Kelly Gay for the Book Chat on Thursdays.
Started reading Grimspace by Ann Aguirre for the Book Chat on Tuesday this week.
Started reading City of Ashes by Cassandra Clare for a discussion with a few blogger friends on the 25th.

Well, I think this is the most books going at one time I've ever had! lol. I think I had a book in every room of the house while I was sick.

I did get my review up for The Unfinished Song: Book One Initiate by Tara Maya. (click the title to jump over to it.)

So I have big plans for myself this week now.  I'm almost at half way with City of Ashes and darn if it hasn't swept me away.  So I plan on finishing this book this week as I don't think I can put it down.  Then I will also finish The Darkest Edge of Dawn by Kelly Gay.  The chat is on Thursday for the end of the book and I have to know what is going on with Hank.  So a big week in pages while working during the day.  I think I can do it. :)  I'm hoping to get the reviews for Chasing the Bard by Philippa Ballantine and The Darkest Edge of Dawn by Kelly Gay by/on Saturday.

On to my WANT List... well with it being a slow week for me I only added 4 books.  Well, that's okay.  As I think I'll make up for it this week. :) Thank you!

Received Last Week:
Well with feeling yucky, I really didn't go anywhere.  Well I did go to work for a few days, but couldn't bring myself up to the strength to go anywhere else.  But I did receive a book in the mail...

  1. Great reading week planned. A Queen of the West sounds like a good one.

I wanted to ask you. I won A Rush of Wings and Etched in Bone by Adrian Phoenix form Bitten By Books. You know I'm not much for Urban Fantasy. Have you read any of that series? If so, what did you think?

    Happy reading, Mel!

  2. Hey Michelle! Thank you. :) I'm looking forward to reading A Queen of the West. :) And for Adrian Phoenix series. I have them here on my shelf as well, but unfortunately I've not been able to get to them. I have heard many people talk highly of this series though. Sorry I couldn't help you very much from my view, but from what I hear they sound really good. Now I just need to find the time to read them as well. :) I do hope you enjoy them when you get them, and congrats on the win. :)

  3. @Michelle... read them in order!!! I just read the last one (Etched in Bone) and it was a lot of info that would make more sense having started with the first. I did enjoy the world tho!

Oh, and only 4??? I can add more to that if you like. :D
