We are now to the end of The Darkest Edge of Dawn by Kelly Gay.
Now that was an action packed read! I hope you all enjoyed your ride through this book as well.
So, all your thoughts are welcome in this post. Let it all flow. The good, the bad, the ugly. (okay hopefully not too ugly) What did you like, not like, looking forward too?
Let us know your thoughts on all this.
Beware, if you have not read the book THERE WILL BE SPOILERS PRESENT.
We do have some questions to get us started in the chat:
Robyn's Questions:
1.) Hank and Charlie. Do you think that's the end of that or do you think their relationship will grow?
2.) Do you think that since Tennin survived this book, maybe he'll play a bigger role in the next?
3.) It looks like we're closer to seeing Will again. Are we sure we want to? Do you think Charlie will give him a chance? What about Hank or Rex?
Melissa's Questions:
1.) What do you think the sword did to Charlies arm? Is this a permanente thing and what do you think it means?
2.) Will Charlie have a lingering side affect to the Ash?
3.) Will the other Ash victims be used again, in the future?
I don't think Charlie will have a side affect from the Ash. Maybe if she was fully a human but if it's any, it will be only temporary.
ReplyDeleteI think the Ash victims themselves will be used again. I have a feeling Bryn isn't safe.
I'm wondering about the marks also on her arm. I know it's going to play a role in the next book, but what?
ReplyDeleteOh, I'm sorry I've been bad about getting here and chatting this week. I don't know what is going on with me.
ReplyDeleteAt first I had thought Charlie would have side affects to the Ash. But now I'm not so sure. I know her genes of the other 2 races help her, but she does still have human in her. If there is a side affect, I think it will be minimal.
Unfortunately, I also think the poor ash victims of the past will be used again too. I hate to say that, but I agree with you Robyn. I hope maybe with the little bit of information they got maybe there is something that came be done to help speed up the process of the cure.
I'm really curious about the marks on her arm and the sword thing all together. And I think that Charlie is more like that in their than she knows. And the ANGEL thing! Wow! Didn't see that coming.
ReplyDeleteAnd the woman talked to, or showed Charlie, images. I think the three races combine in Charlie is something that she can relate to. And Maybe Charlie is becoming this?
It seemed Charlie was very drawn to this woman too. I wonder if she will call to Charlie in the future and Charlie will have to go find her in the future.
Oh I'm sure Tennin will be back in future books, but I think he will remain behind the scenes as he has. He is to smart to take the fall himself. He'll keep having others do the work for him, paving his way.
ReplyDeleteBUT!!! What is it he knows that could save that dieing world? And would it help Atlanta? That is the question.
Okay, I have to say it ~ regarding Will...
ReplyDeleteI KNEW IT!!! Lol. Okay, sorry about that. I soooo called that in the last book. And I'm so surprised I was right. But the more I thought of the process the more I really thought it was true. lol.
But, I don't know if I want Will back now. I really like Rex and the history there as the wondering soul of a jinn. Cool.
If Rex does willingly leave Will I do hope he sticks around in another body. :) And And!!!
I'm thinking on Rex now. I wondered if he was Solomon. He did mention he was very, very old. And it was mentioned that in Solomon's jar was just one of his Jinn. So where would Solomon be? Could he have been a wondering soul? Rex is going to be a very important player here in the future. I just have a feeling.
You know when she was with the Storyteller, I kept waiting for her to say something to Charlie. Like a warning or something.
ReplyDeleteI could see Tennin staying behind the scenes until the last book and boom!
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, what does he know? Could he work with Charlie on the saving the dying world?
I didn't even think about that. Rex could be Solomon.
ReplyDeleteI definitely think Rex will be important later on. That's why I don't want him to leave Will's body. Although I guess if he found another body.
