Looking Forward To...(43)

There are so many amazing books already on the shelves and new ones coming out.

For a list of books yet to be released I'm looking to get, you can also look on my right Sidebar at the ever growing list titled Desired Reads - just scroll down. Of course there are tones of other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have already started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and haven't seen much on other blogs yet). But I will highlight one here each week.

(mentioned in order of Release Date then Alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date.)

Next Book Is...

Bloodlines
(Revised Edition)
By:  Skyla Dawn Cameron
Due Out:  Early 2011

Okay, so I have a catch for thieves and assassins, and so what if she is a vampire too.  I saw this and thought the synopsis along with the excerpt on the publishers site sounded great.  It sounded like an action filled and fun read.

This book has already been released, but it is in the process of being revised and re-released.

I do hope you enjoy the sounds of this one as well!

Do you want to read the excerpt too?  CLICK HERE to visit and read.

Synopsis from Publishers Site:
After three hundred years of unlife, vampire Zara Lain has seemingly done it all, and she's now making a living as a successful thief-turned-assassin. Her newest assignment seems simple enough--kill the aging leader of the O'Connor Coven and his only heir, and she'll have another ten million in the bank.

But in the dangerous world of the supernatural, few things are ever "simple."

When a massive assault decimates the continent's population of powerful witches and warlocks, and its orchestrator has vampires being hunted down and captured, Zara realizes the tables have turned and now she'll be playing the hero. Forced to join with a smart-mouthed fellow vampire, a demonologist who's also a fan of hers, a recently widowed--and frequently brooding--warlock, and her best friend's mom, Zara's grudgingly willing to do what she can to save the day.

If only people would stop ruining all her outfits...

  3. Carols Notebook - Oh so glad you like the sounds of this one as well. :) I hadn't heard of the book until I found the publishing company through another author and then met the author on twitter. So I'm really looking forward to this one.

  4. Melissa, We are like sisters from another mother or something because my eyes pop at the mention of Assassin. I think because it tells me the female protagonist will be physically tough which is my all time favorite kind of females to read.

Bloodlines does sound fantastic and I tbr'd the old cover on Goodreads so I didn't originally see that this one was being reissued this month. Thanks for linking me over here.

Hunter, book 2? The blurb mentions different character names. Would this book be focusing on another character in the same world? Have you heard anything?

    =)!

  6. Hey Chasity. Sorry I didn't get back to you yesterday. By the time I got home from work we had no power with a tornado that went past. We are all okay and thankfully no one got hurt anywhere (From what we know). But so glad you love these books! :) I believe Skyla has on her blog that the first three books in the series are from different characters. They could almost be stand alone novels from this view point. But they do all follow the same series. Maybe same world different characters type thing. :) I'm really curious to see what all happens in them.

  7. I like that they sound to be almost stand alones because I'm more interested in book on.

Hey, quick question. I was trying to search your blog again cause I;m sure it was here. There was a movie review done on an Indy film. A mom fighting underground to make money to survive- or something like that. What was the name I wanted to check it out. Buuuuut.... If memory is serving me wrong and it wasn't you then no worries!

  8. Hi Chasity - :) Glad you like the sounds of the stand alone too. :) I like good stand alones but that connect with others as well. Always fun to read. Oh, and I don't think I did the review of that movie. But it really does sound familiar to me too. It might have been Melissa Books&Things. Oh, yeah. The tornado thing was scary. I'm just so glad it didn't hit us and that where it did hit no one was hurt. Thank goodness. I do hope you find the movie review you were looking for. :)
