It's Tuesday...Where are you? (4)

This is hosted by An_Adventure_In_Reading

This week I am only reading one book and in one world.

I am with Sergeant Guld at Knoll Barrow, the only grassy barrow in the city of Lamentable Moll. There is not much here but the two men, who are rat-hunters, Guld is looking to talk to hoping they will be able to point us into a direction of finding the madman or thing that is killing these people every night in the most gruesome way. There they are, picnicing at the top ~ roasting over the fire.

Bauchelain and Korbal Broach by Steven Erikson
I have just started this new book. It is volume one of three short novels of the Malazan Empire.

  3. ParaJunkee - You got hooked too. I loved Hunger Games and Catching Fire. I can't wait to see what you have to say about Hunger Games. I hope you are enjoying it. The arena is a neat place in itself (not counting the killing going on).

Arielle - I am glad you liked the meme. Sounds like you are in an interesting place as well. I hope they aren't too strict there. I am looking forward to your review as well. This book sounds really good.

  6. Sounds gruesome but rather good fun.

I'm in the middle of nowhere, in the company of a woman who is half vampire/half werewolf, surrounded by creatures not of this world.

  7. This is a pretty cool meme: I'll play along too.

I'm Michelangelo Osiris Leary Kusanagi-Jones, an ambassador from Old Earth, currently in bed on New Amazonia with my lover and fellow ambassador Vincent Katherinessen.

  9. Sounds like an interesting place to be. Is this a fantasy series? Mystery?

  10. Oh, this sounds very good! I hope you enjoy this one :)

I'm still working my way through Canticle... life has just been one roller coaster after another! I miss my reading and discussion time! I'm seriously going crazy, lol :S

How have you been Mel? I haven't really talked to you much lately... I hope to be able to have some off time soon, so hopefully I'll be able to catch up with everything in cyber space lol!

    Have a wonderful day! :)

  11. Haha, great meme! I am in Forks, WA, with Bella and Edward, going through the adventures of the third book in the Twilight series, 'Eclipse.'

Also, I am in London with Poppy, the protagonist of 'Perfect Timing.'

    :)

  12. Julie J. - I am starting to get into this book some more. I will definitely get a review up when I am done. We will see where it goes from here.

Brizmus - Malazan Empire is a whole series of books done by Steven Erikson. This is just a few short stories he has done in the same world. I have not read the series yet, so this is just a taste of what the world will hold for me when I get there.

Petty Witter - the book is on the darker side of things. You are kind of following the "bad" guys around more rather than the good guys. A woman of half vampire half werewolf and creatures not of this world. You have my interest caught. Can't wait for your review of this one.

Sweet Vernal Zephyr - Glad you like this meme idea. Sounds like an interesting place to be. I hope they will not get in any trouble for being in bed with another ambassador. I am interested to read this review.

  13. Bookbabie - I hope you find something to read. I know I don't like being to long with out a book in hand. Glad you stopped by!

La Coccinelle - This is a fantasy series. There is just a hint of mystery to it. I am starting to see how massive this world can be but the book is of three short stories. There is so much detail not even in here that could make one of these short stories a whole novel on their own if it was added.

Krista - I am starting to see how big this world can be. You are missed over in our discussions. I hope everything is going well for you. I was thinking of sending you an email today to see how you are doing. I will have to catch up with you tomorrow by way of email.

Nikola - eeewww you are doing the Twilight series. I have not read them yet. I will get to them some day here. Perfect Timing. I haven't heard of that one. Looking forward to your review.
