Teaser Tuesdays (4)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly event.
Sponsored by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Here's how it works:
Grab the book you are currently reading (anything at all)
Open the book to any random page
Share 2 "teaser" sentences from anywhere on the page.
Please Make Sure They Are Not Spoilers!
(Don't Give Too Much Away) Just enough to pique our interets.
List the book and author so other participants can get their hand on it if they choose to read it as well.
This week:
"Then I heard a voice, a voice like burning silver, like a kiss against my ears. Looking up, my heart lifted and I knew it was my Aloine."
The Name of the Wind
By Patrick Rothfuss

  1. Didn't you just love this part! I love when he plays his Lute, it's my favorite scene! Awesome Teaser!

  2. Thanks Krista, I did just love this whole part at Eolian. I was amazing and then the string broke and the way he carried on was just outstanding!

  3. Mel, it is super cool you got to talk to him!!!

Guess what? I just won my first contest! Can you believe it! Woot! Woot! I will have to post about it tonight or tomorrow!!!

  4. Wow, I'm sure in the context of the book the scens isn't that sexy but the teaser was a bit. Good Choice.

  5. "A voice like burning silver"... that's absolutely gorgeous. Great teaser!

  6. Good one! I'm going to have to put this book on my 'to read' pile.

I have an award for you on my blog:

Hope you enjoyed the book chat! I certainly enjoyed having you =)

  7. I am so glad you all liked the teaser. I really liked these lines. I thought they really helped to show how Patrick writes so. The word choices for the story is just amazing! I thought this showed it well when I opened to this page.

Sorry, got 106 spam comments in less than 24hrs. Had to turn on again.

I love comments! Please share your thoughts. I will respond here in the comments back to you.

I'll try again without word verification, but if Spammers get out of hand again I'll turn it back on.

Thank you for visiting!
