Looking Forward To...(49)

There are so many amazing books already on the shelves and new ones coming out.

For a list of books yet to be released I'm looking to get, you can also look on my right Sidebar at the ever growing list titled Desired Reads - just scroll down. Of course there are tones of other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have already started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and haven't seen much on other blogs yet). But I will highlight one here each week.

(mentioned in order of Release Date then Alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date.)

Next Book Is...

By:  Philippa Ballantine
Due Out:  June 28, 2011

I have to say Philippa is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors lately.  I enjoyed the first book in the Book of Order series, Geist, I really enjoyed the mixture of a fantasy feel and paranormal feel to it.  I liked the magical connection the pairs have and the ruins as well.  This is an interesting connection with the three major characters.  Then I read Chasing the Bard and just loved it.  I'm really enjoying her writing style and the stories she has to tell.

If your curious about Geist, you can read my review HERE.
And Philippa was wonderful in her blog post on Chicken or the Egg - What comes first, world building or character building, HERE.

But the next book is:
Goodreads Synopsis:
Though one of the most powerful Deacons, Sorcha Faris has a tarnished reputation to overcome, which is why she jumps at the chance to investigate a string of murders in the exotic city of Orithal. But it is there that her lover, the shapeshifting rival to the throne, is targeted by a cruel and vengeful goddess, unwittingly unleashed by the Emperor's sister.
