is a weekly meme hosted by Ryan at Wordsmithonia.
This is very easy to do!
If you comment on blogs you can do this too.
Write down all the word verifictions you get while posting comments on other peoples blogs.
You then play Balderdash with them.
In case you don't know how to play:
You take the made up word and come up with an authentic sounding definition for it.
Do this for a week and then post your best or favorite ones every Thursday.
Here are mine for this week:
dorsom - the feeling some freshman college students go through in which they stay in their dorm room with a solemn feel due to being away from home and friends from youth and now having a hard time adjusting to a new atmosphere of college classes and new people.
ballyza - a ballroom atmosphere of wearing the formal dresses of the era of civil wars and formal suits along with uniforms of status in which there is a mask to hide the identity of everyone and then having to meet as many people as possible.
Neriess - a minor goddess who is known to give the flowers of nature their color and viberance. She makes the world bright and beautiful.
dernun - a candy bar with cashue nuts, a drizzle of caramel then covered in milk chocolate - with no calories.
I feel very bad for those suffering from dorsom! And dernun, where can I get them? 0 calories? My kinda bar! Well done :-)
ReplyDeleteAnother good week with fun words! I remember dorsom. Very sad time...
ReplyDeleteNow where can I find dernun candy! You had me at caramel, even before I saw they had no calories. Want! Now! *L*
Send me as many Dernuns as you can. Great words this week.
ReplyDeleteJackie - The good thing is most college kids eventually over come dorsom. At least we hope. I will start mass production of Dernun soon.
ReplyDeleteAlexia - I didn't get dorsom, as I commuted to school. But I remember many college friends who went through it. Glad you love the idea of the candy bar. lol. I will love to start production of them soon. *grinning*
Ryan - As soon as I receive the candy from the factory you will have some on the way to you. *smiling*
Thank you all for stopping by and enjoying the words!
Hi, Melissa! Popped back to give you the link for my words this week :-)
ReplyDeleteNow i can throw out that darn sticky note, lol.
Hi, Melissa! Now you made me hungry! Give me some dernum! How can you go wrong with caramel and cashew nuts!
ReplyDeleteLOL My son had dorsom... great words as always!
ReplyDeleteSheila - Sorry to hear your son had dorsom. It is just a yuckie feeling. I remember seeing others with the feeling when I was in school. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteHey Peter! I really could go for a dernun as well! I think I am going to have to start making them, as everyone really likes the idea. :) Thanks for stopping by!
