is a weekly meme hosted by Ryan at Wordsmithonia.
This is very easy to do!
If you comment on blogs you can do this too.
Write down all the word verifictions you get while posting comments on other peoples blogs.
You then play Balderdash with them.
In case you don't know how to play:
You take the made up word and come up with an authentic sounding definition for it.
Do this for a week and then post your best or favorite ones every Thursday.
Here are mine for this week:
irchpo - an evil little insect, with ichor of a black burning hot oil for blood, in which has lived in the depths of Hell and have returned to the surface of the world when the new moon comes to pass.
twilects - a secreted group of people who worship the twilight hours of a day, studying and believing in the stars and planets.
fingly - the fidgetiness of fingers - either drumming, taping, or giggling change in your pocket.
droft - a term used in a joking way for being down, negative, or pessimistic.
Hehe those are great!
ReplyDeleteHi Zia! Glad you enjoyed them. Thank you for stopping by.
ReplyDeleteSo I wonder if the Twilects use irchpos in their rituals.
ReplyDeleteGreat words this week.
Twilects cracked me up!
ReplyDeleteRyan - I liked that idea. I was thinking about it when I was typing the Twilect definition, but didn't add it. It may be a secret that they use them. ;)
ReplyDeleteMel - I really liked Twilects when I came across that word. It seemed to fit well. Thanks for stopping!
Great words this week! My favorite is irchpo, as I think I was bitten by one once and they are very, very evil!
ReplyDeleteAlexia - Glad you liked the words this week! lol. Bite by the irchpo, ooohhh, that would be painful. They are very, very evil little things. lol. :)
ReplyDeletefingly...... mmmm hhhhh.... I do that often.... :)
ReplyDeleteHi Sheila! I think there are more of us than we realize that do the fingly. lol. Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteLOVE IT! I would offer up one for my word verification "idadize" but my brain isn't working right and the best I can do is think it has something to do with slurred speech and being dizzy lol.
ReplyDeleteLindsey - Thanks for stopping by. Glad you enjoyed the words. That sounds great for idadize - the affects on speech, of slurring and stuttering words, when feeling dizzy. I really like that! The word is really cool. Great addition to the list of new words. lol.
