Teaser Tuesday is a weekly event.
Sponsored by MizB of Should Be Reading.
Here's how it works:
Grab the book you are currently reading (anything at all)
Open the book to any random page.
Share 2 "teaser" sentences from anywhere on the page.
Please Make Sure They Are Not Spoilers!
(Don't Give Too Much Away) Just enough to pique our interest.
List the book and author so other participants can get their hand on it if they choose to read it as well.
This week:
They came to Aleph, and he touched them. He touched their hands and eyes and hearts. The last time he touched them there was pain, and wings tore from their backs that they might go where they wished.
The Name of the Wind
By Patrick Rothfuss

Great Teaser! I really love this book!
ReplyDeleteI'm at our stopping point, so just let me know whenever you are. No rush though I'm enjoying The Graveyard Book.
Oh, yeah, today I figured out how to do a link in a comment, I think. Remind me the next time we talk on twitter and I'll give you the website I found.(I'm on my Moms computer, so I don't have the site handy right now.)
Anyway, Great Teaser!
Great teaser! Wings tore from their backs? Interesting....will have to check this one out.
ReplyDeleteSounds good!
ReplyDeleteSounds good! I'm intrigued! Is this a fantasy novel? I will add to my "to buy" list!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by my blog and commenting my Teaser Tuesday!
Yeah, this is a fantasy novel. The writing style is very good, it flows together like poetry or music. Very good writing and the story is very interesting. I just keep turning the page and cant stop.
ReplyDeleteI would most definitly recommend this book to anyone.
Wonderful teaser! Those lines are wonderful (or should I say...painful?), and really give a sense of magic and change and the tone of the writing. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteThanks Celia. I really liked this line when I read it on the page. I just had to share it with everyone.
