Looking Forward To... (5)

This is becoming a regular meme for me to do lately.  There are so many amazing new books coming to the shelves at all times and I have really started this year getting into the new reads. Of course, the books on the shelves are on my lists to pick up as well.

For books yet to be released I am looking to get, you can also look at my list of Desired Reads on the Right Sidebar.  Of course there are tons other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and others may not be sharing as much).

Now, I am going to get to list on Fridays one book coming out in July! Wow, hard to believe July is on the list already.  Where is this year going to?

The first one I am going to mention is...
( mentioned in order by Release Date then alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date )

The Crowded Shadows by Celine Kiernan.  Due out July 1, 2010.
This is the second book in the Moorehawke Series.  If you would like to read my review of the first book, The Poison Throne, you can click here.

The Synopsis from Goodreads:

Wynter Moorehawke travels alone and unprotected through bandit-infested forests, searching for the rebel prince Alberon. But many enemies are lurking in the shadows. It seems that every tyrant and zealot who has ever threatened the Kingdom is sending emissaries to meet Alberon. Wynter becomes increasingly nervous of the prince's intentions.

She is overjoyed when Razi and Christopher reappear, but where old friends go, old enemies soon follow and Wynter finds herself confronted with the infamous wolves, the Loup-Garous. It is to Christopher's adopted people, the Merron, that Wynter and Razi must now turn for sanctuary. But the Merron have sided with their mortal enemy, Marguerite Shirken. What is behind these strange alliances and is Alberon at the center of it all?

  1. Sounds like another good one! And I really like the cover on this one! Not the typical cover, which really got my attention. Great pick!

  2. No! It's not almost July! You can't make me believe it. :)

  3. Alexia - I fell in love with these covers when I saw them over at Orbit. They are unique and I love that about them. But these fantasy reads were right up my alley and I so enjoyed the characters created in the first book.

Melissa - :D I don't want to think in less than 30 days we'll be in July. It's just not possible. Oh well, I don't know where the year is going. :) Hope you like what you see in these books.
