Teaser Tuesday (23)

Teaser Tuesday

is a weekly event.
Sponsored by MizB of Should be Reading.

Here's how it works:
Grab the book you are currently reading (anything at all)
Open the book to any random page.
Share 2 "teaser" sentences from anywhere on the page.
Please Make Sure They Are Not Spoilers!
(Don't Give Too Much Away)
Just enough to pique our interests.

List the book and author so other participants can get their hand on it if they choose to read it as well.

This week:

When Terelle stuck her head through the balustrade to see the rider better, she realised his mount was a particularly fine one: the segment scales were a burnished wine-red, edged with gold tassels.  Two feelers, inlaid with gold wire in intricate patterns and each as long as three men lying end to end, touched the walls on either side of the street as the pede passed by.

  3. Melissa - They are calling them a Myriapede and I think they are large versions of a centipede or something like it. They sound crazy, and to ride one!

Zia - Thank you! There is a lot of description like this. I am having to pay attention on this read. :)

Deb - Thank you! I have to stay awake when reading this book with lots of details like this. I actually have to pay attention. :)

  8. Lori - I don't care to much for bugs myself. :) I thought these sounded kind of yuckie when I first read it. They are growing on me more as I go in the book though. Thank you for stopping by. :)
