Teaser Tuesday
is a weekly event.
Sponsored by MizB of Should be Reading.
Here's how it works:
Grab the book you are currently reading (anything at all)
Open the book to any random page.
Share 2 "teaser" sentences from anywhere on the page.
Please Make Sure They Are Not Spoilers!
(Don't Give Too Much Away)
Just enough to pique our interests.
List the book and author so other participants can get their hand on it if they choose to read it as well.
This week:
For the next few days, she kept practising her waterpainting skills, including the ability to influence the future.
The Last StormlordBy Glenda Larke
(Sorry, I only did one sentence but this one sentence says a lot with what is going on in the book at this point. Its a teaser of just a few pages ahead of where I am currently.)
Very nice teaser and the book cover looks dark and mysteriously threatening, one more to check out Melissa!!!
ReplyDeleteJackie B Central Texas
Nice teaser, I haven't heard of this book, but the cover looks pretty cool.
ReplyDeleteThat's kind of interesting. I wonder how water painting affects her ability to influence the future. Or if it has any influence in that area at all. Great teaser!
ReplyDeleteI agree - that one sentence speaks volumes! It sounds like a really interesting book! I'm going to have to check it out - can't wait for your review!
ReplyDeleteTeaser Tuesday - Shadow of the Sun by Laura Kreitzer
Jackie - Thank you. I seem to have a thing for covers with men, or anyone, in a cloak lately. :)
ReplyDeleteLadystorm - Great to see you again. It has been a little while. :) I am really enjoying this fantasy read. The stormlords control water. It is really neat.
Zia - Glad you liked the teaser. It does have an influence on the future. But it is a nifty thing. I am really interested to learn more about it. I am just now starting to get into learning this great ability.
The Bookish Type - Hello! Great to see you stop by. :) I am enjoying the book, there are people who are able to control water. I am just now learning of this new ability and am really intregued with it. Thank you!
Hey, this sounds interesting!
ReplyDeleteA great teaser. What a dark and mysterious cover, I really like it.
ReplyDeleteThat cover is dark and your teasers, well I just wonder how waterpainting and the future relate!
ReplyDeleteMiranda ~ SweetVernal Zephyr
Cherry - Thank you for stopping by! Glad you find the teaser interesting. I am loving this water sense as it unfolds for me to understand.
ReplyDeletePetty Witter - Hi! Glad you stopped by. Glad you like the teaser. I really like the cover too. The next book has a similar cover to it as well.
Miranda - I am really liking this cover too. :) It is interesting the way the water sense (kind of a magic feel to it) and waterpainting work together in relation to the future. ;)
Hmm, the ability to "paint the future" (if I'm interpreting correctly) would come in handy, I'm sure. Cool teaser.
ReplyDeleteWow - this sounds good! I have the book in my 'wishlist'...so I'll probably get to it...oh, in a year or two! But that's a great teaser. Thanks for sharing (and for coming by my blog)!
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? That is a great quote... especially since I'm a watercolorist! Now I may need to get this book. Can't wait for the review!
ReplyDeleteJackie - You are interpreting correctly on the painting. And I think I would like to be able to do this. I would always paint me with a book. :) lol. Glad you liked the teaser.
ReplyDeleteCeli.a - Thank you for stopping by! :) Glad you like the teaser. So far I am enjoying the read. I hope you enjoy it when you get it.
Melissa - I am sorry, I forgot about you being a watercolorist. I love the "magic" created here in what they call water sense and waterpainting. I think you would enjoy this part I am reading currently in the book. I hope you do get it, and enjoy it. :)
