Monday's Beginnings (5)

This is the beginning of a new week!

So, I am wondering: Where you are in your books or are you starting a new book for the new week? The beginning of the week always seems to be a great time to start anew. To me it seems to be the way Monday goes is a sign of how the week will follow. Have you been able to get much reading time in today? Or are you going to be rushed all week to get everything into the short 24 hour day?

I am still adding numerous books to my reading list. This week it has grown by only two books. This really is a wonderous thing! You are all helping to keep me out of trouble and these wonderful authors in work. I am kind of trying to make notes of books to read but the must, must reads are on the top of the list (that is what list these books are on).

And once again I have finished no books this week, but now I have 2 going.

Well, for me today: I am still in the process of reading The Blade Itself by Joe Abercrombie. I am currently on page 160 out of 527 pages. Yep, I told you, I really am a slow reader. I picked up The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins this weekend when I got to my stopping point for the bookclub. Now, I havn't been able to put it down all weekend. I am hoping to get The Hunger Games finished today, or tomorrow at the latest, depending on how life goes today. So far this morning all looks clear...I shall see where the day goes from here.

Let me know...Where are you?

  4. I have just finished a review for "Oh.My.Gods." I have been meaning to get to and it was a really good book!

Instead of my life winding down we are actually about to be moving into a new house(hopefully) over the next two weeks! Ahhh...but I am reading the Blade Itself right now, and hopefully I'll be able to get to our next stopping point soon.

I look forward to your review for The Hunger Games!(Is it as good as you were expecting?) Did we start a thread for it? I would love to chat about it if you want to, or are we going to next month?

I love your "Monday Beginnings" posts! Fun!

  6. I haven't read The Hunger Games either, but may have to as so many people seem to love it. Not that I need any excuses to add to my growing wishlist! *L*

I'm trying to decide on my next book, but can't make up my mind. Might have to resort to the random number generator as I'm torn between three different books. Good problem to have though, so can't complain.

    Looking forward to your reviews!

  7. Hi Peter! I just finished Hunger Games here this evening. Thats what took so long to get online. I am hoping to have the review up tomorrow. Great to see you stopped by!

Ryan, don't feel bad. If it wasn't for Krista I probably would not have read this story. I am a little behind in getting caught up here. But I do think the book is worth it. Very Good.

Sheila - I love to recline with a blanket, hot tea, and a good book. That is the best especially with the rain and the s word...(snow)

  8. Krista - thanks for stopping by. I am glad you enjoy my Monday Beginnings. I am out of time today, but I want to read your review. I will stop by tomorrow and read it. I have not hear of that book till now so I am curious. I just got done with Hunger Games. And...I am so glad you talked me into this one. It was really, really good. I hope to get my review up tomorrow.

Amy - Thank you soooo much for stopping by. I entered your contest. I don't know how I missed that one, but I did. I also added it to my side bar here for others as well. Thank you for stopping by!

Alexia - Glad to see you! Thanks much for stopping by. I love when I have more that one book to read. It is just wonderful. Then I feel crazy trying to get through them all at times. I just have to remember I am stocking up for that snow we are to get this winter, and I am not able to leave the house. (I don't want to think of that yet.) lol
