Synopsis:
When the Mounds Collapsed, Donovan sacrificed his life and his magic to save the fey realm. It wasn't enough. Now the growing magic of the artifacts, the enchantment that promises to restore the realm of fey, is calling out to him, pushing at his mind and his magic, distracting him from the plots of the Seelie king slithering into their midst.
One of the most intense and action packed episodes of The Sidhe series so far, Into Chaos picks up where Into Darkness left off, propelling the action toward the climax of Season Two of The Sidhe that is coming with Into Destiny. Now with longer episodes, the three story lines of the Sidhe continue to sizzle in this latest installment.
First Sentence:
Even with the gauzy curtains enclosing the four post bed, the light within the room roused Lugh from the exhaustion hangover following hours of carnal exertion.

***I read for my honest thoughts on the story, from the author.
My Thoughts and Summary:
Lugh has found the one he longed to be with, yet something is off with her. Her magic distorted. London notices when Lugh goes to talk to the man in charge, something happens to him. Lugh is now different, although more the sunny self but different. Lugh is magically forced to 'see the way'. Donovan is mesmerized at the creation Malcolm has before him. The magic artifacts Malcolm's put together have ran out of room at the Glamour Club, and now are calling to Donovan. The magic from the first Realm of Fey has ideas, and talk to Donovan. A new island is formed as London's past catches up and jeopardizes the lives of hers and the fey.
This is interesting. We get some pieces of the story here and yet we are wondering as well. We meet 'the man in charge' that Lugh now is the Champion for. And what Donovan does for the First Realm of Fey magic. WOW! And that is where the cover comes from too.
Malcolm is still completely obsessed with magic and the puzzle of the artifacts. He seems to be struggling with a new creation here too. That the magic might be too powerful is a question. What will it do to him? To Donovan with the connection? What troubles will it attract?
I will say, I don't like 'the man in charge'. But, in his defense, I don't think we are suppose too. He is up to something and I don't like it. I have to take London's side on this one. He is up to no good to the fey. None.
We have a collision of the fey and supernatural realm here. Whether controlled or attacking, it's not good and will lead to troubles.

of a new UF book, that's so nice! don't think I knew this one.
ReplyDelete:) Thank you Melliane. The series keeps going for them. Hope you get to try.
DeleteMy experiences with this area of the supernatural (fey) is surprisingly limited but the write up and review certainly have me thinking it's time to change that. Interesting cover, too. New follower to the blog but I really like the way the reviews are presented. Always appreciate when a reviewer gives enough to a reader to get a sense of the story but never gives anything important away.
ReplyDeleteThank you J.A. Lantz! I try to catch attention yet not spoil when I write up the reviews. Yet give what I enjoyed in reading. Glad you liked the style. And good luck with the fey. :)
DeleteI am really going to have to try a book by these authors. I really like the fae world going on here.
ReplyDeleteMelissa (B&T) I think as the series evolves the stories get better and better. :)
DeleteHours of carnal exertion right in the first sentence!? Well then! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm a bit scared of the fae, but this sounds great. I'm curious.
Great review!
LOL! Maja (The Nocturnal Library) That is a bit of a rough time isn't it. :D Thank you!
