Make your own Faberge Egg and Winner!

We are celebrating the release of Angelopolis today.  There is a Faberge Egg on the cover, so to celebrate
at your book party (or even for Easter) you can make your own...
The author has shared a recipe!

Faberge (Peanut Butter) Eggs
Ingredients (makes 8 eggs):
8 ox confectioner's sugar
1/2 cup peanut butter (creamy)
2 Tablespoons butter
1 1/2 Teaspoons milk
4 oz semi-sweet chocolate

Directions:
1.)  In a mixing bowl, combine confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, butter and milk (if needed for moisture) until blended.  Shape mixture into two 1/2 pound eggs or make a bunch of smaller eggs.
Freeze eggs for 1 hour.

2.)  While the eggs are freezing, cut semi-sweet chocolate into small pieces and place in top of double boiler with shortening.  Meld over medium hear, stirring frequently until smooth.  Stick a long-tined fork in top of each peanut butter egg, dip it in melted chocolate to cover then drain on waxed paper.  When the eggs are cooled and set, decorate the eggs to your liking.  We recommend using brightly colored frosting and rainbow sprinkles to give it a festive feel.

Then you can serve the drinks from the drink recipe. (drink recipe, do head back to the post) and note it for yourself in the future. :)

We have a winner for the duel set of Angelology and Angelopolis.

The winner....

Ashley E

  1. Hah! There's no way in hell I'd ever be able to make these eggs. Unfortunately, I am severely aesthetically challenged, which means that I can cook and bake just fine, but when it comes time to decorate, I always end up ruining everything.
