Inventor Henrietta Mason is retiring from airships and adventuring to return home to Philadelphia. Determined to erase all trails leading to her late father's duplicity, she dismantles his lab and removes all records of the Badlands gold. While in the city, she can't resist the lure of a charity gala but winds up regretting the whole experience. Well, everything except a heart-racing dance with a certain U.S. Marshal.
His career and vengeance on the line, Carson Alexander must prove a connection between Senator Mason and the mafia. He lucked out happening across Mason's strikingly beautiful daughter, only to have her slip through his fingers. On a desperate hunt to track her down, he never expects his search to take him into the brutal Badlands.
With a mechanically enhanced enforcer after them, only Carson knows the extent of the danger they face. He'll have to win over Henrietta's trust, and her heart, before it's too late...

ReplyDeleteI missed a lot last week, where was I? I have Badlands but never finished reading it, oops.
I hope this week treats you well.
Bea, yep, we are all agreed. We need to make more Saturdays in a week. ;) And sorry to hear you didn't finish Badlands. I really enjoyed that one. Hope you have a great week as well.
DeleteYou've got a lot of interesting books there! I wish I knew how you manage to read *and* review so many. It seems to me that the more I blog, the less time I have to actually read. Enjoy all your new books, and thank you for stopping by The Bookwyrm’s Hoard earlier!
ReplyDeleteLark @ The Bookwyrm, yes, I'm sad to say most of the books I get free or purchase, I don't get to. I work to get through review books, but that stack has piled up on me here lately. I have an addiction to keep buying though. lol. I have a very hard time keeping up and have to divide my time so I don't get lost on the computer or not make it to the computer. :) Thank you for stopping!
DeleteI know what you mean; I've got a (virtual) stack of review books to get through, myself. I can steel myself not to buy new hardcovers, but it's hard to hold back on freebies, used books, and on-sale ebooks, especially when they are books I've been meaning or wanting to read, or authors I love. Which is, of course, why I have almost an entire bookshelf (not a shelf, the whole unit, almost 6 feet tall) full of books I haven't read yet... and that's not counting the ones in my ereader. *sigh*
DeleteSpell bound sounds good. Hope you enjoy
ReplyDeleteBrandi @ Blkosiner’s Book Blog
