Mundania Press has a new series of Paranormal Romance Novellas coming our way this year. These books are only connected as a series by the Paranormal Romance thread and with BBW (which I like to think as normal women) heroines. Five novellas total, one each month starting July through November.
The novellas to look for, and authors:
July 24 - Opposite Attraction by Judy Bagshaw
August - Transitions by D.A. Lascelles
September - Love by Proxy by Julie Schriver
October - The Art of Falling in Love by J.D. Thompson
November - Haunted by Skyla Dawn Cameron
Now I mentioned about a cover release. Yes, I have one of these covers here!
Description:
Mia Danvers is a full-figured clothing store clerk with a mean right-hook who's putting her life back together after years with an abusive boyfriend. Desmond Lane is an arrogant, struggling songwriter and musician with a charming smile and a fondness for snarky chicks like Mia. Banter follows, sparks fly, and to the casual observer they might seem perfect for one another…
Except he's a ghost, his killer's still at large, and he wants her to help his restless soul find peace at last.
And you thought your relationship had problems.

What do you think? I am really getting into the novellas (now with the Nook so handy) and this series of Paranormal Romance sounds like a great quick fix.
Oh noes! You are going to get me into more novellas now aren't you? ;)
ReplyDeleteTee hee hee... Yes Melissa (books&things) I'm going to get you hooked on Novellas, but the good thing is they go quickly. ;D LOL!
DeleteI've been getting into novellas a lot recently as well! I like that the heroine is full figured - fed up of thses beautiful but shy girls who don't realise how pretty they are! :-)
ReplyDeleteMel, I hear ya! lol. But seriously, we need real women out there saving the world as well. :D And glad to hear you are loving novella's as well. :) Thank you!
DeleteI do love that the cover model looks like a real woman :D
ReplyDeleteBlodeuedd, It is a breath of fresh air I will say. To see a real woman on a cover for once. :) Thank you!
DeleteFirst, LOVE the full-figured model on the cover/character. YAY! And I also love that she's a kickass who got out of a violent relationship. Sounds like this might be a heroine worth getting to know.
ReplyDeleteStephanieD - I have to agree with you! Love the full-figured model as well. And that she is a strong kick ass kinda girl. :) Thank you!
DeleteSince I do my own covers, I thought maybe I should comment: you know, it is TOUGH finding a decent stock photo of a fuller figured woman to use. Almost all of them include larger women eating either a burger or salad, standing on scale, or holding a tape measure. It's extremely depressing. I lucked out when I found this model because she looks very similar to my heroine. Otherwise it's HARD!
ReplyDeleteSkyla, I can only imagine! That is awful that is all the picks you have. Shame. There should be more out there to pick from. And of different cultures too.
DeleteYeah, I remember there was an issue finding a good stock photo for my cover too... The one for Haunted above looks fantastic! I thought the cover for Transitions was awesome but that one really blows it away... :)
DeleteMmmm... the cover doesn't really call to me...
ReplyDeleteCherry, that's okay. :) Not every cover or book is for everyone. Thank you for stopping by to check it out!
DeleteWow, that was a punch in the face. Wasn't expecting that twist. I like that the girl is full-figured. It makes the story more real since a lot of us aren't size 4 like most female protagonists.
ReplyDeleteJennifer L. Bielman. lol. Yea, how about meeting the man of your dreams and finding out he's dead. Ha! ;D I like the idea of normal sized woman too. That size 4 stuff is for the birds! :D Thank you!
