Teaser Tuesday is a weekly event.
Sponsored by MizB of Should be Reading.
(I am rotating from Teaser Tuesday and Where are you? on Tuesdays. This week is the teaser.)
Here's how it works:
Grab the book you are currently reading
(anything at all)
Open the book to any random page.
Share 2 "teaser" sentences from anywhere on the page.
Please Make Sure They Are Not Spoilers!
(Don't Give Too Much Away)
(Don't Give Too Much Away)
Just enough to pique our interests.
List the book and author so other participants can get their hand on it if they choose to read it as well.
This Week:
A twig snapped in the blackness, and Nicolette was crying and banging on the door with both hands. The old woman let her in, slipped the board back into place, and brought the girl to her meager firepit.
The Sad Tale of the Brothers Grossbart
By Jesse Bullington
I'm so wanting to read this book. I hope you love it as much as I think you will.
ReplyDeleteSpooky stuff. Funny how one sentence can make you want to read a book - I want to know what happens next.
ReplyDeleteRyan ~ I am having a little difficulty with this book. I am having a hard time deciding if I like it. Its not enough to give up on yet, but I read and like it then I get to a part and just don't know. I will keep going and see where it goes.
ReplyDeletePetty Witter ~ Some of the book has the feel of it to be spooky. I am going to have to keep reading to see where it goes, this girl was not in the section I have read yet.
Board over the door huh? Sounds like a dangerous place to live.
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by to check out my Teaser Tuesday.
Miranda
Miranda - My thoughts exactly! Board over the door can not mean good. But these brothers don't seem to care.
ReplyDeleteI love stopping by on Tuesdays to see what everyone is reading.
Thanks for stopping by and See ya around the boards!
I've only recently heard of this book. After reading your Teaser, I'm intrigued!
ReplyDeleteMichelle - It is one of the features of the month over at Barnes and Nobles or I may not have ever heard of it myself. I am still a little not sure on the book. I have to get through it to see where he is going before I can make my final decission.
ReplyDeleteInteresting teaser. Definitely makes me wonder what's going on.
ReplyDeleteCarolsnotebook - I was very curious as well as I was not to this point yet and didn't know how I was going to get there or what was going on. Now I have passed it and understand. But it was quite a teaser for me as well. Thanks for stopping by!
