My characters this week, still in the mode of the season, are both - yes I said both - are featured in one of my favorite Christmas cartoons ~ The Year Without a Santa Claus.
As you may know how the story goes, Santa Claus gets sick and fears he will have to cancel Christmas for all the good little boys and girls. With Santa on vacation to relax, two elves have to go find people that still love Christmas to help as Santa feels people are lossing the feeling. Well, the elves run into some trouble and the reindeer is captured, thinking its a dog. But, all in all Mrs. Claus has to come to help and the mayor agrees to let the reindeer go if it will snow in this town. Now see... the catch is this down is in the south ~ where it DOES NOT snow.
So, this brings us to my two favorite characters this week... Snow Miser and Heat Miser. I love these two guys. Besides the song they sing I think they are great poler opposites. They love each other yet don't. What family love! lol.
I love how both want a little piece of what the other has... Is it always greener on the other side of the rainbow? To these brothers maybe only to one of them. They have divided the world in half and don't want to relinquish any piece they have for even one day. Mrs. Claus then has to do as many people end up doing... Yep, going to talk to Mother Nature to straighten the boys out.
So with great pleasure I introduce The Miser Brothers:
You are awesome! I'm going to be watching this with Aidan tomorrow. We watched the Grinch tonight before he went to bed. Fantastic choices this week.
ReplyDeleteRyan - Thanks for the complement. I hope you and Aidan enjoy it! It has been on a few times already and everytime the brothers come on I make my son turn up the tv and start singing along. He caught on after the first time watching the cartoon. Now I know when it is on because he turns it up for me so anywhere in the house I can hear the song. lol. Glad you liked it!
ReplyDeleteThis was always a favorite of my sister and I. We used to sing the song Heat Miser all the time and then, later on, we started referring to people with crazy hairstyles (kind of like the character) as Heat Misers! We still do it to this day! LOL!
ReplyDeleteGreat pick this week =o)
Not characters I am familiar with, thanks for introducing them.
ReplyDeleteMichelle - You all have to have a blast together. I would love to be there to witness it all. Now that you mention it, there are many people out there that I could call Heat Miser. Actually, they copier guy that came the other day here to work had hair like that! lol!
ReplyDeletePetty Witter - I am glad I could introduce you to these characters. I hope you enjoyed the song.
I can't believe that someone else besides me did this! Yes, I took snow and heat misers songs and blended them together so I'd have it on my iPod! lol iMovie, what a wonderful thing! :)
ReplyDeleteHellos Melissa! I am soo glad you enjoyed this! I always thought I was the only one around that loved these two. I am glad to hear there are many of us out there. :) Thanks for stopping by!
ReplyDeleteOh, I totally love the Heat Miser! Liked him much better than the Ice Miser, but that was probably because I don't like the cold! *L*
ReplyDeleteGreat post!
Hey Alexia! Thanks for stopping by. Glad you liked the boys this week. I couldn't do one with out the other. They compliment each other so well. lol.
ReplyDeleteThanks again for stopping by.
