Teaser Tuesdays (2)

Teaser Tuesday is a weekly event
Sponsored by MizB of Should Be Reading.

Here is how it works:
Grab the book you are currently reading (anything at all)
Open the book to any random page.
Share 2 "teaser" sentences from anywhere on the page.
Please Make Sure They Are Not Spoilers!
(Don't Give Too Much Away) Just enough to pique our interest.
List the book and author so other participants can get their hand on it if they choose to read it as well.
This week:
Kote Gave Chronicler a look of profound disdain. "What gives you the slightest impression that I would be here when you come back?" he asked incredulously. "For that matter, what makes you think you're free to simply walk out of here, knowing what you know?"
The Name of the Wind
By Patrick Rothfuss

  1. Sounds like Chronichler is is in a sticky situation. Plus, the cover of this book is beautiful!

  2. Just a little sticky. He wants the story to write so he will do anything.

The cover is very neat. Krista over at Life of something like it... has another beautiful cover posted on her site, but I havn't seem it on the books in the stores around here.

  12. Krista,

I found the contest thanks to your sidebar!

I would love to add Graceling and Fire to our list. If they are being compared to Rothfuss they have to be really good. They are on my little, long list I carry with me to look for the books at the store on my next trip.

    Thanks for the luck!
