There’s a monster on the loose, and only I can stop him.

When Drakon puts my hometown under a horrifying freezing spell, I get the first terrifying clue to his plan. My family is trapped, slowly wasting away. I must break the spell before it’s too late, but the task might kill me.

Though I’ve got my friends at my back, I’m the only one who can stop Drakon. And I'm not sure my magic is strong enough to do the job.

Enemy of Magic is a fast-paced fantasy mystery with a kick-butt heroine, a tough hero, and magic that will blow your socks off.

My Thoughts and Summary:
*I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

Laurel continues to voice Nix and the crew with talent. As the series goes, we get the feel of tough spots and out of breath moments the characters experience from Laurel as she voices them. I love when we get these with narrations as it feels true to the story and moment we are in.

This book is the next steps in Nix's journey to stop Drakon.

Okay. Wow. We learn a lot here! I love it! We learn about dragons and their history. Then about FireSouls. And, this leads to our ladies and their connection to things. Nix's journey feels like it's one of the most important, maybe because of who she is or maybe because she's the last of the three to come into her powers. But this is the series that feels to highlight all three of the ladies along with what they are.

We get to see Del and Cass at Nix's side as she fights the evil that's after them all. I enjoy seeing the girls together. We've gotten Cass and Del's stories as they came into their places, they help Nix as she comes to her fate.

There is connection to the FireSoul friends they have along with Nix's home realm. This book feels so well written with pulling all the ends together along with Nix learning about herself and growing in power and confidence.

Ares. Good gravy. Each girl has meet and coupled up with dream worthy men, Ares is no different. I love how the men give the woman the space they need until the lady is ready to go to the next step. None of the men want to take advantage of the ladies, but all know the men are interested. Ares does the same with Nix. And when Nix is ready, they take their relationship to the next level. It's not written out in detail, but you know what happens.
