Throwback Thursday (33)

There are so many amazing books already on the shelves and new ones coming out.

For a list of books yet to be released I'm looking to get, you can also look on my right Sidebar at the ever growing list titled Desired Reads - just scroll down. Of course there are tones of other new books to come out that are amazing as well, but these ones are part of series I have already started or for one reason or another caught my eye (and haven't seen much on other blogs yet). But I will highlight one here each week.

(mentioned in order of Release Date then Alphabetical if there are more than one book coming out on the same date.)

Next Book Is...

Skinwalker
Jane Yellowrock #1
By:  Faith Hunter

This is a series I've heard many say is wonderful and thought I would love.  But what sold me to rush out and get this book was the anthology I read with a story by Faith in it.  Strange Brew was the anthology that introduced me to Faith and Jane Yellowrock.  I really enjoyed this short story.  I enjoyed it so much I ran out and purchased this book.  Now I need to get to reading it.

Goodreads Synopsis:
First in a brand new series from the author of the rogue mage novels

Jane Yellowrock is the last of her kind-a skinwalker of Cherokee descent who can turn into any creature she desires and hunts vampires for a living. But now she's been hired by Katherine Fontaneau, one of the oldest vampires in New Orleans and the madam of Katie's Ladies, to hunt a powerful rogue vampire who's killing other vamps...

  1. I've read this series and I really enjoy it. Jane and beast are so different from usual UF heroines and I like how Jane doesn't know her own past! I think you'll really love it! :-)

I'm looking at a werewolf book this week...

Melissa (Books&Things) - You know I know I'm going to love this series. It's really saying something when a short story in an anthology can drive me to go buy the first book in a series. Now just if time would cooperate with me.

  9. I love books featuring Native American mythology! I haven't seen a lot of them, but there's just something so mystical and ancient about them -- I love it.
