Cover Release

New series for Maria V. Snyder.  And in the newsletter from Maria V. Snyder's site I received the new cover and description, so thought I would share it with you! :)  Also if you got the newsletter you got the first chapter to read.  Sounds good!

Due Out:  December 20, 2011
(US & UK)
(US cover)
Cover Description:

Laying hands upon the injured and dying, Avry of Kazan assumes their wounds and diseases into herself. But rather than being honored for her skills, she is hunted. Healers like Avry are accused of spreading the plague that has decimated the Territories, leaving the survivors in a state of chaos.

Stressed and tired from hiding, Avry is abducted by a band of rogues who, shockingly, value her gift above the golden bounty offered for her capture. Their leader, an enigmatic captor-protector with powers of his own, is unequivocal in his demands: Avry must heal a plague-stricken prince—leader of a campaign against her people. As they traverse the daunting Nine Mountains, beset by mercenaries and magical dangers, Avry must decide who is worth healing and what is worth dying for. Because the price of peace may well be her life...

Australia & New Zealand release is January 2012.

  1. Oh sounds good. I really gotta read her other series other than the YA one.

  2. I am really excited about a new series from Maria - I love all her books! I like both these covers as well. The UK cover is similar to the UK Glass trilogy books as well, but I love the trees in the background!! I'm excited now! :)

  3. I like the UK version more myself. Reminds me a bit of the Water Givers series.

Have not read Snyder, but I really want to try her Study series.

  4. I like the UK more, the US one is just so cute

  5. I just found out she has a new series coming out. I loved her Study and Glass series!

The UK one does seem similar to her UK Glass series covers. I prefer variety so I would go with the US one.

  6. Zia - yeah it sounds really good doesn't it. :) I still have to start her other series yet. I have the first books here, just got to get to them. :)

Mel - Oh, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed these books so much. And it is neat to hear about this series. :) I think I like both the book covers for different reasons. Can't wait!

Bastard - I haven't read any of her books yet either. I have the first here: Poison Study and Inside Out, but need to get to them.

Blodeuedd - he he. I think I like both the covers here. They are both very neat. :)

Spav = So glad you enjoyed her other books. I'm going to have to get moving on these I think. :) I think I like both the covers here. I don't think I can pick a fav. lol. Thank you for stopping by!

  7. I have got to explore Maria Snyder's books as they come so highly recommended by many bloggers. One of these days...

  8. I think the UK cover wins! I haven't read her... YET, but I will!

  9. StephanieD - I hear ya. I've got two books here by Maria and need to start both series. I've heard wonderful things about her books.

Melissa (Books&Things) - lol. Yeah, I need to get to reading her too. But I like both book covers for different reasons. I'm wondering which one more relates to the story. :) thank you!
