Sunday Post #135

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello! Well, I've finally started to feel better this week, though still have a cough and it'll probably linger with the humidity in the air here. So, I can try to get back on track with life and all that's been put on the sideline with vacation and being sick.
Not much else to share about. I've been slow at listening to audiobooks as a co-worker took two weeks off at work to have her bunion surgery. Makes it difficult for the two of us remaining as the work really is a three person place, but we'll get through.
I'm hoping to get back on track here. Kiddo starts going back to therapy on Wednesday. So that will be starting up again too. I'm hoping to get on a schedule with blogging, blog visiting, and writing. Yes, I started that up again too. :)
Also, you'll see a link below to a blog I started for photos I take. I'll use it to share some of my favorite photos and experiments to the images with programs I try to learn.
Yes, I'm feeling energetic to have so much in the works at one time. lol
Oh! I received a credit from Barnes & Nobles for the ebook cases. It was just shy of $11. So, I went on looking at the books they had on sale. I picked up 4 books, three of which were hardcover, for $18! I paid the shipping of the $8 and was set! WOW! I was so excited as they were books I wanted.
Also, I did watch 2 movies on the Hallmark Channel as they celebrate Christmas in July. It's research, I promise. For my Christmas Business series I'm writing. ;) lol.
The Fit Booker:
Goal:  Workout in any form of exercise (or on Wii Fit) 2x's a week. (to feel better and hope to drop a few pants sizes)
How did I do last week... I got 1 day of exercise in last weeks. With being sick and this cough, I wanted to see how it went with only going to the gym and doing the elliptical. It wasn't too bad. ;)
The Daylight War by Peter V. Brett
PICK UP AT AMAZON
Goodreads Synopsis:
On the night of the new moon, the demons rise in force, seeking the deaths of two men both of whom have the potential to become the fabled Deliverer, the man prophesied to reunite the scattered remnants of humanity in a final push to destroy the demon corelings once and for all.
Arlen Bales was once an ordinary man, but now he has become something more—the Warded Man, tattooed with eldritch wards so powerful they make him a match for any demon. Arlen denies he is the Deliverer at every turn, but the more he tries to be one with the common folk, the more fervently they believe. Many would follow him, but Arlen’s path threatens to lead him to a dark place he alone can travel to, and from which there may be no returning.
The only one with hope of keeping Arlen in the world of men, or joining him in his descent into the world of demons, is Renna Tanner, a fierce young woman in danger of losing herself to the power of demon magic.
Ahmann Jardir has forged the warlike desert tribes of Krasia into a demon-killing army and proclaimed himself Shar’Dama Ka, the Deliverer. He carries ancient weapons--a spear and a crown--that give credence to his claim, and already vast swaths of the green lands bow to his control.
But Jardir did not come to power on his own. His rise was engineered by his First Wife, Inevera, a cunning and powerful priestess whose formidable demon bone magic gives her the ability to glimpse the future. Inevera’s motives and past are shrouded in mystery, and even Jardir does not entirely trust her.
Once Arlen and Jardir were as close as brothers. Now they are the bitterest of rivals. As humanity’s enemies rise, the only two men capable of defeating them are divided against each other by the most deadly demons of all--those lurking in the human heart.
