The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

It's still a week of phone calls on lunch hour and Saturday was gone from me. But I had 3 evenings this week I could get online and read. So that was a nice change back to normalcy for me. I'm hoping to get further on the normalcy path once again. Things should be calming in the evenings during the week...we'll see.
I did get a bit of reading in. I want to get some writing in too, but I'm thinking that's not going to happen. *sigh* It's alright. I'll just have to do it next month and maybe not do Camp NaNoWriMo like I had hoped. We'll see what comes and if my mind is set with the story I want to do.
What's Happening in Books:
Current Read:
After Dark - with 2 stories one by Gena Showalter AND Kait Ballenger
I'm going to start this week: A Cursed Embrace by Cecy Robson
Finished Last Week:
I finished Kait Ballenger's story Shadow Hunter, in After Dark, and enjoyed it! Can't wait to share that one with you.
I haven't got to the Podcasts yet. I will, they are lining up on me.

Goodreads Synopsis:
Fresh off the events of Exhumed, snarky vampire and professional narcissist Zara Lain is still adjusting after accidentally triggering the apocalypse and everything that happened to her. An escape from her life seems in order, one that takes her and Sir Rodney Ballsgalore—her trusty saber-toothed cat companion—deep in the woods of northern Ontario for some R&R.
It’s not just nightmares that follow; trouble is always on Zara’s heels, this time in the form of some idiot vacationing teenagers summoning something they can’t control. Though she believes stupid should hurt and doesn’t want to lift a well-manicured finger to help them, once the creature burns through the kids it’ll be coming after her.
But Zara’s not the survive-at-all-costs girl she once was. She’s damaged, she’s tired, and she might not have the fight left in her to live when death comes knocking this time around...
Goodreads Synopsis:
Pen Holloway’s done with men—in real life. Guys in game are so much less drama. But when her partner from Heroes of Fallen Gods invites her to the convention of the year, she panics. What if he’s another jerk? What if he’s not?Cal Burrows is living his dream of being a spy. One of TRAIT’s misfit spies, but still a spy. It’s the perfect job… until an arms dealer with a taste for blood invades his not-so-secret geek haven. All Cal wanted from ConDamned was to meet his on-line girl. Now, with the threat of mass murder looming, he’s forced to choose between keeping his mission a secret and protecting the girl of his dreams.Despite their attraction, Pen can’t help but suspect Cal’s hiding something. She also can’t shake the feeling he’s not as much of a stranger as he seems.

Goodreads Synopsis:

Hunted by council for practicing dark magic, she is certain she's been wrongfully accused. She flees, and is forced to rely on strangers for protection. But the farther she strays from home, the more her magic and forgotten memories return and she begins to suspect all is not as it seems.
The Crystal Empire by L. Neil Smith
Goodreads Synopsis:
"Impressively Imagined" -Kirkus Reviews **** Earth is ruled by three mighty empires: The Saracen-Jewish Empire led by the Caliph of Rome, the Mughal-Arab Empire, ferocious in its determination to destroy its neighbor, and the great Sino-Aztec's Crystal Empire, led by a living God. **** Little is known about the Crystal Empire, which spans most of western America. But it is the most powerful force surviving on Earth and its might is unchallenged. **** One man, however, will change that. Sedrich Sedrichsohn, a legendary fallen fighter, has a chance at redemption and nothing will stand in his way to reclaim his life and his purpose, even if he must fight the Sun-God himself. **** "A vibrant, science-fiction epic filled with verve, dash and inventive characters. It's creative, and it's fun, a fine bit of escapist fare for winter reading" -The Chatanooga Times
