Monday's Beginnings (180)

Monday....and maybe not so bad?

Well, I took Friday off and loved every minute of it!  I spent the morning researching desert lands, then the afternoon at the local pub reading through my Nano Project, chatting on Twitter with Skyla Dawn Cameron along with others, and even started a new scene (2,000 words and so much to add as laptop battery doesn't last long).  So all in all a great day to relax.  And Saturday I finished reading Tranquility's Grief as I couldn't put the darn book down. lol.  Great read!  I really am starting to believe the work week should be only 4 days and we should have a day to relax and enjoy.

This week to come...well, I'm not sure what the week has for me.

My WANT List...so I've added 4.  Well..two of which are new books in series I'm already loving and two are new series completely!  Oh, I'm so in trouble. lol.

Received Last Week:
Purchased:
I've been wanting this book for some time.  I don't know why but it called to me, well screamed at me.  But I couldn't get it as it wasn't published in the US yet.  Glenda Larke published it in ebook format and I jumped at that chance to buy it!
Havenstar by Glenda Larke
Goodreads Synopsis:
All Keris Kaylen ever wanted was to be a mapmaker like her father. Instead, she finds herself on the run into the realm of Carasma, the Unmaker Lord of Chaos. When her path crosses that of the traitorous aristocrat, Davron Storre, she’s way out of her depth, with no idea that the magic map she’s inherited might make a difference to the world …

I read the first story with these characters in A Clockwork Christmas and enjoyed them, thinking there could be so much more shared in stories with this duo.  And here it is!  Another I HAD TO HAVE!
Broken Promises by J.K. Coi
Goodreads Synopsis:
Former ballerina Callie Carlisle is determined to rebuild her life with her new mechanical limbs. She's just learned to accept the enhancements that saved her from certain death when she experiences uncontrollable twinges and flashes of light that obscure her vision. Terrified of literally falling apart, she resists telling her husband. Jasper's already vowed to keep her out of harm, and she doesn't want to worry him further.

When the War Office's General Black arrives with an urgent mission—rescue the doctor who created Callie's enhancements—she has no choice but to accept. A rogue agent and former patient of the scientist believes the biomechanical modifications he received are killing him, and he's out for revenge.

Callie must reach the doctor before it's too late. But with an overprotective Jasper at her side, and her alarming symptoms getting more frequent, will she be able to hold herself together long enough to save the doctor...and herself?

As Member of Sidhe Elite:
Captivated by S.A. Archer & S. Ravynheart
Goodreads Synopsis:
London’s had a rough journey and made some bad choices. She’s on the Unseelie hit list and hoping that hooking up with a Seelie is the answer to all her problems. Only now that she’s beginning to get a glimpse of the bigger picture, she finds herself at ground zero of more magical trouble than she ever expected.

Scattered Magic by S.A. Archer & S. Ravynheart
Goodreads Synopsis:
An act of treachery brings the Mounds, the fey realm, collapsing in upon itself. The survivors flee to the surface world, but modern day Ireland isn’t safe for the fey. Predators like vampires, Changelings, wizards, and enchanted humans are everywhere, and they all crave the Sidhe…

Two Sidhe strive to save the fey from extinction.

Donovan, a former assassin for the Unseelie Court, struggles to rescue the untrained Sidhe youths known as the earthborns from the clutches of those who feast upon their blood, bodies, and magic.

Lugh, Champion of the Sidhe and proponent of the Seelie Court, searches for the lost relics that might restore the fey realm, and the source of fey magic, before all the fey die of the Fade.

One human, cursed by the Touch of the Sidhe, fights to reclaim control of her life against the forces of magic that threatens to rip her apart.

    1. Thank you Jaclyn Canada. And I understand with your running with baseball. We do that here with football and training in off season. It's crazy! And right now is crazy with training in the evenings, so cuts my time down. But we'll be here and visiting when you post. :) Thank you and have a great week.
