This Week:

Unaware of this consider Cale's astonishment as, by way of a slower and more populous route ordered by Bosco, he made his journey back to the Sanctuary from the veldt.  He found that even in the back of beyond there were people by the road bowing and calling to him for a blessing, some of whom had walked for days on the rumour of his passing by.

  2. Well, who is Cale? Is he a mage, a holy man? Lots of questions with this teaser...

  3. Melissa (Books&Things) - Um, this is an interesting fantasy read. I'm not all that far yet, but hoping to enjoy. :)

StephanieD - :) I like when the teasers leave loads of questions. :) That is the fun part for me. :) Thank you!

  4. This Paul Hoffman series has been one of the most polarizing series I've seen recently.

    It's very hit and miss.

I enjoyed the first book, and I started the second one, but haven't gotten far into it. Got distracted with other books that arrived, so hopefully I'll get back to it soon.

  5. Bastard - I hate to say it, but I'm struggling with this book myself. I'm really trying with it. But the writing style seems very different than the first book, at least to me. I think I need to go back and double check it. But I'm not as interested as it seems to lose me with the way the story veers around and away from the main. I'll try to keep pushing on though.

  6. That was my problem early on and why I got easily distracted when some priority books arrived. But I'll continue it soon, I think it gets better later on.

  7. Interesting teaser. It definitely makes me wonder what's going on, who he is.

  8. Probably not for me, but I love the cover.

  9. Bastard - Glad to hear I'm not the only one. I'm about 150 pages in and it's a little better, but I still feel a little put off from the first 100 pages. I'll keep going though.

Carolsnotebook - Glad you liked the teaser. :)

Missie - No, I'm struggling with this one so far some too. But thank you for stopping by!
