My Overall Thoughts:
Aura comes across many tests, which she proves she is a pure and good dreamer.  We get many stories of this world of dreams.  Seeing how the nightmares have infected the lands.  I love what I learn as we get many little stories in one big one, and they draw us to where we need to be and know of the world to get to what we need to fight nightmares and the dreamer they have on their side.

This is a calmer read than I usually pick up.  Through out the story and in the end, lots of action and happenings.  I rather enjoyed relaxing with this one after a long day at work.  And there are episodes that caught my action attention as well.  And always great information of the world and nightmares.  I love the use of youthful movies and Disney in this story.  And a bit of a twist to what Aura does at the end.

I did worry as the story progressed, if Aura would or would not return to the real world.  I wasn't sure if I wanted her too.  I loved the friends and the world of the Dream Realm.  I wanted to stay here.  I even enjoyed the magic Aura possesses while in the Dream Realm, yet she doesn't take advantage of it.

In the dream realm we have many creatures - Vampires, Centaurs, Mermaids, Elves, Rock people, Electronic people, Magicians, and so so many more.  Aura is smart and has taken in a lot in her short twenty-five years of life.

I enjoyed the variety of voice talent in this listen.  Starla has the relaxing feel for Aura that fits her personality so well.  She gives a comfortable dreamy feel, but when she does the characters voice and needs a different tone, she makes it happen.  The man picked for Steven and King Cyris's voices...nice.  A rich baritone.  The more I hear it, the more I fell for what he said.  All the voices fit all the different personalities.

Aaaah, a dreamy read.  I enjoyed visiting the Dream Realm and taking in the sights and people (of all makes) here.

The fight is on!  Aura is drained for a bit from a connection she needed to make for the region.  After she's recovered she gives an encouraging speech.  And feels the presence of Rose.

Will Aura find a weakness in the strong darkness of Rose?

Oh wait now.  A secret love? Or crush maybe.  Ooo, I like this.  Then off to battle the arm goes.  Aura gets there, and the odds look... not in their favor.  But, they might have a one-up over the Nightmare creatures.  Just maybe...

Aura ensures the night of the grand gala is one that no one will forget for a very, very long time...

My Thoughts and Summary:
We approach the castle on the night of the Gala.  Highly specialized men now guard the area.  We need to find a way in, and prepare for the gala.  Once in, the sight feels off to Aura.

We need the help of another, Dedric's familiar...a spider.  A BIG spider.  Aura's fear of...spiders, is confronted here.  The gown Aura creates is on to put Cinderella to shame, and influenced with a few touches from the baby spiders she must watch over briefly.

The castle seems to have lost a glow it once had, and a dark aura now is present.  The plan was laid out, but nothing goes as planned...especially when emotions are involved.  The King suffers from the spell that was upon him.

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura marches into the Kings chambers, even in his violent outbreak.  Aura sends all out, and Aura will have to face more than flying items.  Aura thinks on choices she's had and made while here in the Dream Realm.

Oh, do I feel for King Cyrus.  The vision of him... and Aura with him.  I didn't realize how much I'd been waiting to see Aura and King Cyrus together, again.  King Cyrus even shares a secret room of mirrors with her.  Oh, interesting to see.  I like this, and Aura's powers as a Dreamer.

I start to wonder if Aura remembers the real world?  Or her boyfriend/fiance?  And what will come of the real world verses what she has here in the Dream Realm.  How will that work out for her?

In a meeting, we learn there is an army of unseen size collecting at the border of the Dark Lands.  War is coming.

Friends are starting to figure out what is going on with Aura.  They know her rather well after their close travels and can read her well.

My Thoughts and Summary:
Mory calls!  Again.  Aura takes his call this time and shares news of who the enemy in the palace is, and some shocking news as well.  We get a visit from one who we'd heard from.  And off to a new destination, the last destination.

Oh, what the King has in store...Upsetting.  Seems maybe magic planning involved?  We learn more names from the troubles of others; Korrine and Xorix.  We also get to meet, face-to-face Aura's nemesis in the dream realm.

Aura finishes her work at the little town and takes the crew to their final destination in a rather rough way.  Aura bends the rules of the dream realm to make it happen quicker.  We come across forgotten dreams.

This Episode:
Aura comes face to face with the guardian of the Red Tower and must save her friends...

My Thoughts and Summary:
There could be a deadly guardian here at the Red Tower.  Aura saves them again, and surprised at what she sees as the "guardian."  Then Aura comes to another task of being tested, for herself and friends and what she seeks here.

We learn of the legends of the Red Tower, were we now visit.  More stories in the world of dreams.  I'm surprised twice at what we find here.   Aura, once again, proves she is a kind soul.

This Episode:
The history of the Red Tower is revealed and its fate decided...

My Thoughts and Summary:
The unknown history of the Red Tower is shown.  Aura is asked to grant a hard request.

We see the way the current desert was and has come to be through a way of time travel.  The place has changed drastically over the years.  We do have a hard request made to Aura, from one that seems so kind and good.  Sad yet calming, what Aura is asked to do.  The gorgeous history of the desert is renewed to the area as we leave, with our found treasure.

Aaah!  The connection to the enemy spy at the castle.  We see the connections to the people and how and why.  Back to the castle we head!  However, we meet others in their travels as well.  An old woman asks to trade with Aura, giving for her eyesight the invitation meant for her granddaughter to help Aura and friends get into the castle.  The king has said they should not enter, magic influenced again.  Aura takes on another in her care, a promise to help Maudra find work at the castle.

I feel we get many little stories in this big one.  Aura has come across many little things in her bigger journey, opening the Dreamers Realm to us, and having us fall for it.

With her friends again by her side, Aura tries to save the missing children of Lichshire...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura is worried of the terrible mental consequences of the lost soul she saved.  Can she help?  Then once Aura has an idea what to do, her and her friends pull their magic to work together to save the rest.

On the way to find more of the lost souls, Aura realizes one of her visions from the crystal ball.  They are coming to pass.  Aura wears herself and Ina out saving some of the lost.  One boy is quite a challenge, both in saving and pulling back to calm.

This is lots of work for Aura here.  Challenging in the tasks to be done and who are affected.  Really great to see the team working together.  More magic used, and Aura has come to learn more what she can do.  I do fear, however, that the Queen of Nightmares might be trying to get to Aura through what Aura is doing to help.

She is doing right, and should keep going.  This is what a good Dreamer should do.  But still, I can feel the worry of those with her as there could be trouble to come.

This Episode:
As the fight against the monsters comes to it's conclusion, heartbreaks and new information are revealed in Lichshire...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura wakes after her passing out of drained energy.  A plan is set and off the crew goes to see what they can do.

Oh!  We hear Stephen.  Sometimes when Aura is this drained she seems to connect back to the real world.  But it vanishes as she wakes in the Dream world again.

I have to thank Gabrien!  For standing up to the people for Aura.  I understand what these parents and adults want, but she needs rest in order to do what they want.

Aura is concerned about the victims, but she wonders what created this nightmare parasite.  We learn of Seeders, and what they are capable of.  The thinks we learn here.  We see the gross Seeder, and learn much.  Aura even receives a gift in the end.

Oh! And Mory!  Mory had tried "calling" Aura in the last episode, but to much was going on and Aura seems to have forgotten she missed the call.  This would have been so important!

Now Aura is hearing a voice.  One she seems to recognize.  I'm thinking this is the Dreamer-turned-Nightmare.  She is trying to get to Aura!  Eep! That just smells of trouble.


These two episodes, 13 & 14, have caught my attention and I'm pulled in.  They are full of action and information.  The happenings and more have drawn me to the story and I'm looking forward to finishing the story more and more.

Aura assures Sira she got the go ahead with her plan, but needs to do something for Theas first.  Yet, with the side mission, Aura feels something tugging at her to do this.  She feels a need to follow this path now.  Then we get visions from Ina of another Region, village.  There was another attack by those dark creatures.

Aura learns how to do more in the dream world.  This time, it's how to contact Ina.  And Aura makes another temporary adjustment to herself to help her get around.

There is a feel of a nightmare in the new region we hop to.  While walking down the path, it feels like a nightmare.

This Episode:
Aura awakens in a village and finds a new challenge awaiting her...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura wakes in a new town.  A town with troubles of their own accompanied with the sound heard before their losses which called when she came the night before.  The town folks fear she maybe affiliated with what happens here...until they learn who she is.

We learn of a new terror in this town.  Wow!  What she finds in the black nightmare!  And what she does...

Aura has a way of making friends and making people a little more at ease with her presence, even though they are still frightened of what she might do.

The visions Aura saw before coming here... She's not sure where or who sent them after talking with Ina.  That is a question and mystery in itself.  I wonder if the Nightmare Queen is, or trying to, affect Aura.

Arua and her crew head out on the high sea, for their quest of the beast terrorizing the ships.  The beast is found!  And Aura recognizes the black ooze as the same at their stop in Marcus's village.  Aura finds more than the beast in the seas...

Aura feels this is a test for herself, even though she's worried of harm coming to others she wants to make sure she can fight.  Aura gives her powers a workout.

We meet a new character Sira.  And find there is a whole other world here.  What Aura has to create, what she turns into!  Quite the sight!  Sira is a...special person.  An interesting family we learn about.  But it could be trouble for Aura...

Oh how I love the sea... This is a sight for one to take in.

This Episode:
Aura visits with Sira and makes a startling discovery about the girl's family...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Sira's story is a touch of a sad one.  Her love, loss, and Aura holds hope for the future.  Yet the secrets of the family history is a complicated one as well.

Aura talks to Sira's father, Theas, on her behalf.  What she learns of Elsaar's and Sira's mother and father is interesting and bring thought back to Captain Squiddy too.  I had wondered if the nightmare Queen had touches in their mother's disappearance ten years ago.  But with what we learn, maybe not so.  But I do wonder if we'll see Ryla.

Then, the history we learn with Captain Squiddy...there are questions rattling around my mind of him too.  Tricky little web weaved here.

Aura has a few more people she wants to help in this amazing dream world.

Aura and company make a gruesome discovery, and learn more about the past...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura and company come to their first village, but the closer they come the worse Aura feels something is wrong.  Heartbroken at the sight before her, Aura loses control of her powers.  An blinding display, and it's astounding what she does!  Aura then tries to play with her powers, on herself.

We hear first hand of attacks from the dark creatures.  But I wonder why this village was attacked.  It's to far from the border.  And are there more villages that have suffered the same fate?

After her display of strong powers Dedric is worried of what could happen if she is turned to the darkness.  He also questions the origin of the images from the crystal ball Aura had seen.

Aura learns from someone who was around in the time of the last Dreamer, to learn what had happened to avoid the same fate for herself.  Now Aura wonders what kind of time in the real world Rose had come from.  Maybe the strength in woman of Aura's 'real' world, as they are independent and handle much, could make her stronger to stand against the darkness.

Aura practices using her new powers and the group catches some rays by the sea...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura plays with her powers while doing dishes, and Dedric gives her a challenge.  Aura is learning to use her powers, even for small things and raise her endurance as well.  Aura has picked her next stop...by the sea.  We stop at an inn that's quite the sight in the bar.  Strange new creatures and people here.  But on her time for some semblance of normal, Aura slips to the bar and learns of a strange beast attacking ships at sea.

I enjoyed this little tavern scene.  So many great visuals here of the creatures and people.  Fits a dream realm so perfectly.

It's nice to see Aura playing with her powers and the things she's accomplishing as she goes.  Then!  Oh, then Aura remembers the Kings letter!  The King's seal brings new meaning to the tattoo of swans with the faces hidden in the lines.  Oh, King Cyrus...

We have a new person at Aura's service.  Cap'n Squiddy Geiger, the captain of the ship to take Aura and crew out to sea, in hunt for the beast.

Aura goes in search of Dedric and gets more than what she bargains for, then meets her muscle...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura talks with Mory of Dedric and realizes she needs to go find Dedric and learn what it is he wants to see.   In playing with Dedric, Aura sees images...memories...of an items original owner.  But who that owner is, could cause troubles for Aura, and the kingdom in the end.

There is a feeling from Dedric's questions that maybe Aura can do more than she even realizes.  More power to her here in this world.  There is a chance now that Aura could be open to nightmares.  We are all hoping that won't happen as she seems so much more, the Dreamer that she is.  Boy is Aura pissed off when she learns about the item and storms off to tell Dedric a thing or two.  But when she gets to his study, he's not there.  Instead she sees more images in Dedric's crystal ball.  Happenings and visions are stacking up!

For a brief moment Aura hears Stephen, her boyfriend from the real world.  It reminded me we are in a dream world here and that maybe she is in a coma in the real world.

We meet who is going on Aura's journey.  The crew is selected... Aura, Ina, Dedric, and Gabrien Brierblood - the mercenary Aura had dreamed of a while before coming here.  We learn what a piece of this journey is for...looking for damage from the Dark Lands.

Aura and company begin their exploration, and she learns the mythology of the Dream Realm...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura asks Mory to do a very important mission while she's gone, and gives him a pocket watch and herself a locket she created for them to communicate when he learns of the most important news.  The company prepares and leaves the castle for their journey.  Then we hear tales of the creation of the Dream Realm and of the Dark Lands - Nightmare Realm.

It was interesting, very interesting, to see how the mirror spell works.  This spell creates mirror image of Aura so it appears she is still at the castle and the enemy doesn't attack.

Oh!  King Cyrus sends a letter to Aura to only be opened after they leave the grounds.  I'm wanting to know what was in it, and why request her to open after gone.  Hmmm...

We see Ina transport them to close the area Aura wants to be, or from somewhere in her mind, and travel by horse the remaining distance.

I loved hearing these two short legends of the Dream Realms.  Interesting!  And the one of the Nightmare Realm makes me curious of the border between the two realms.  Another important piece of information it seems.

My Thoughts and Summary:
We find our selves in the council meeting with the facial expressions implying the situation is rather serious.  We do learn, darkness on the other side of the land, where the lord of Nighmares rules, is now expanding and no one knows why.

Oh the creatures that are here in the meeting!  Vampire, Centaur  Mermaid, Elves, Rock people, Electronic people, Magicians, and so so much more.

Mm, I do like Aura.  She is smart and has taken in a lot in her short twenty-five years of life.  She tries to explain the 'evils' of our world, however it seems to be subjective to the eye of the beholder.  And the Kind realizes there are many gray areas.  Then, Aura has a strange feeling from the king's kindness.  Hmm, maybe a spark here?  We'll have to keep going to see.

Aura learns more of what she can do with her dreaming.  And in looking to go for a midnight snack of that delicious pudding from dinner, she meets a new friend.  Mory, the unofficial watch mouse. lol.  He's cute.  But we learn a dark history of a fight in the past and a dreamer who once was to help.  In this chat something strikes Aura and she wants to talk to the king about it, but will wait until morning.

However, by morning Aura has over heard something very important, and dangerous to the light land.  She very much needs to get to the King!

I'm curious who this woman (Mistress) is and what else Aura is thinking.

Aura tells the Council about her plans and meets an interesting new character...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura makes her way to the king (still in night clothes) through his guards, telling him there is an enemy in the castle.  The council meeting reconvenes and Aura shares more details of a few council members.  One seems a bit curious in dress.  Aura shares her plan of getting to see more and learn more.

With the kindness of one council member we get a view of the lands and how the beings here can move about.  We also get a touch of the darklands and barrier from the newly appointed leaders of intelligence and spies.

We also meet Dedrick, the kings adviser and seer.  Dedrick has a sense of...hostility toward Aura, and mentions he is not afraid of her as a dreamer.  Dedrick wants proof, of some sort, from Aura.  But what?  We are not sure yet.  The King suggests Aura follow him to find out, but the frustration and a complaining stomach makes up her mind where she'll go.

Now I'm curious as to what Dedrick wants her to do or show.  And, now, what will come of keeping him waiting or not going at all?  Will the King even be mad at her and see her in a different light?

Aura Mayville is a tattoo artist in Seattle living a normal life when Strange things start to happen to her...

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura Mayville is a young woman enjoying life as it is.  Nothing serious.  She's seeing a hot lead singer of a local band, drawing tattoo art and learning the inking trade.  When she lays her head down at the end of the day, she loves her sleep.  Not for the rest but for the glorious dreams she has, and remembers.  However, this day things start to change; she struggles with a current art design, Steven - her on/off man has news ,she has a strange feel in her home as somethings off, and her dream isn't all the loveliness she remembers.  The next day, Aura starts seeing strange things...

By the end of the first chapter we have a strong feel for Aura's personality and touch on her dreams.  She loves sleep, almost addicted to it.  Not for the sleeping part but for the dreaming.  Ever since she was little she's drawn to her dreams.  They sound so vivid and amazing.  She keeps a mishmash of notes from them, and remembers the dream instantly from one word or picture she's drawn.  We witness a dream that starts strange, goes to the lovely peacefulness she has, then is swept away with a darkness.

The next day as Aura goes through her day, she spots strange things and hears the woman's voice from her dream.  Somethings start to iron out, but what she sees at the end of chapter two will most likely change things.  And had me wanting to go into the next episode.

We meet the people around Aura, and who are her friends.  She seems to have a pretty relaxing and enjoyable life going.  Her bosses, Franco and his brother Antonio are like family, Mac the bouncer is cute to meet, and Steven... What can I say about Aura's man.  He is the hot lead singer of a band.  When Starla described his voice, for some reason Queensryche popped into my head.  We do hear Steven's deep voice with the voice actor she has, and he comes close to fitting what I thought.

This is a calmer read for me.  One I can sit back and relax with after a long hard day.  Starla's voice makes that all the best as well.  Starla has a lovely voice for telling the story.  She gives a comfortable dreamy feel, but when she does the characters voice and needs a different tone, she makes it happen.  The man Starla picks for Steven has a rich baritone sound.  The more I hear it, the more I fall for what he says.  Very nice voice on the recording.

This Episode:
Aura Mayville wakes up in a strange place surrounded by strange people.  But it's all just a dream, isn't it?

My Thoughts and Summary:
Aura wakes in a fantasy fairy dream land.  Aura finds herself in a what they call a Waking Dream as she takes in the rich fantasy beautiful world.  Land where Dreams Live, known by many names.

There is mention of Spirit guide, Legends, Elf clan, and a kingdom.  I'm taken right away with this world!  Oh, I loved the talk with these people.  Aura feels at peace and safe her.  She creates the form of her Spirit Guide in this world when she meets her, along with infusing a touch of her personality and humor to her.  The creatures we see here!  Beautiful fantasy setting.

Aura learns some new things here.  There is magic, and an ancient powerful magic brought her here to help them.  She can't return until the need is done.  Drawn by the peaceful feel and friendliness, along with not being able to leave and mention of food and her love for it, she is convinced to stay.

Pixies come to help Aura get ready, reminding me a tad of a Cinderella feel moment, then when we get to dinner I get the feel of Narnia from the many different creatures surrounding the banquet hall for the feast.  However, the kind and some others are skeptical of Aura.  Being a Dreamer she holds a magic and Dreamers all dream differently.  After all, nightmares are created by Dreamers as well.

Ena, Aura's Spirit Guide, explains what some of what she's experienced the last few days.  And we learn a bit about Dreamers and how they create dreams for others to visit.

These two chapters captured my attention immediately   I love the fantasy world created here and now.  Aura is taking this in stride and creating a beautiful sight for us to take in.  Aura even makes me smile in her embarrassment of being asked to dance by the king, she doesn't know the dance, and his gentle kind response.

I'm curious.  What is wrong in this world for Aura to be summoned here?  What will she need to do to help them?  And the King...could he be a touch taken with Aura?  The council meeting is called, so maybe we'll find out more in the next chapters.
