Sunday Post #128

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Happy Mother's day to all! To me it doesn't matter if you have children of two legs or four. You all have helped someone and taken care of them along the way.You are a mother.
So, updates around here. Where do I start?
Kiddo went to prom last night. It was lovely to see him and others together all dressed up. We did pictures then waited at the school for the grand march to begin. I took pictures of Kiddo and a few others that are like extended children of mine. lol. Great to see them all smiling.
Kiddo and his knee. I didn't mention it last weekend because I didn't know if he was going to struggle this week, but it seems to be sticking. He seems to have crossed the threshold and is getting to 0 or 1 degree at therapy. This is what we were fighting for. He seems to be doing really well! We are thrilled and he's excited as they will test his quad muscle strength on Monday to see if he can start jogging. Oh grief! He can't wait to move more. He still has loads of therapy to go through yet.
Athena. She is still limping. Husband took her to the vet again this week. The vet we normally see and have grown accustom to over the years was who I got her appointment with. She thinks she may have sprained her wrist. At this point there's really nothing we can do, keep her from walking on it to much and doing stairs and put ice on it from time to time. She's also got an ulcerated area on her belly so we got medicine for that.
*sigh* I hope that covers everyone. Oh dad. He's doing much better and about back to normal with therapy at the nursing home. I do truly believe he had a stroke or TIA and that's what caused him to aspirate to bring on pneumonia and then struggle with moving and all the problems he had.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Fit Booker:

Goal:  Workout in any form of exercise (or on Wii Fit) 2x's a week. (to feel better and hope to drop a few pants sizes)

How did I do last week... I did got to the gym 3 days last week, Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday. My usual. With working on lifting equipment then the elliptical for 30 mins.

And it was, until Jane discovered she picked up the wrong box by mistake. Not the one with boring pottery samples, but instead the one with priceless ancient Egyptian artifacts. The one that a team of international art thieves is after. Now she's chasing - and being chased by - the thieves. And she's picked up a pair of passengers who claim they can help her outwit them, get her professor's pottery back and return the artifacts to their rightful owner. If only she could figure out which one of them is working with the thieves and which one she can trust in this high-stakes game of finders keepers.
