Sunday Post #41

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted by Kimba the Caffeinated Book Reviewer ~ It's a chance to share news ~ A post to recap the past week on your blog, showcase books and things we have received and share new about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead.

~~~~~~~~~~
And it's Sunday. Superbowl Sunday at that. This week seemed to drag, yet go so fast when I had free time. Oh well, that's life.
I've noticed I have a rotating weekend thing going. I can't seem to find a blend of what to do, so I go to an extreme each weekend. First, I write. I spend lots of time with documents open. Next, I read. I read all weekend, don't move just read. Last, I fix up the blog. Yep, write all the reviews of the books I'd read and link everything as need be and blah, blah. I can't seem to be one to blend it all together in a weekend. I wish I could. lol. This weekend was the blogging weekend. Hoping next weekend will be the writing weekend as I seem to really be picking up the pace with the story I'm working on.
This week, I have a few novella's I'd like to pick up and get through. They are ones I've been looking forward too.
  2. Well, at least you didn't add to the TBR mountain! While it can be sad sometimes, it can be nice too. Definitely rings of "bittersweet"! I ended up adding 4 books to my TBR pile and next week will likely see a few more additions too!
    Happy Reading this week!
    Here's my STS
    Have a GREAT day!
  4. Good for you for backing off on buying books! Not that I don't love getting new books, but like you, I'm finding my TBR piles (real-world and virtual) a bit mountainous.
    As for the rotating weekends thing - hey, if it works for you... I find I go on binges, too. I'll spend hours or a whole afternoon and evening just answering comments and returning visits, or working on posts, or doing some other project, rather than sharing my time between all the things I want to do.
    1. Thank you Lark. But...I think I made up for the lack of buying last week, this week. lol. Oh these piles are terribly scary!
      I seem to get in one mind set and binge all weekend with it. I just can't seem to be able to diverse in thinking. Oh commenting can take some time when I get behind.
      Well, have a great week!
  6. It's good to go cold turkey every now and again, so we can catch up on our TBR piles. I've been on a book buying ban for awhile now, but keep falling off the wagon. Oops! Then I climb back on, as I'm determined to whittle my TBR mountain down to a manageable hill!
    I'm still trying to find a system that works for me, but it sounds like your weekend rotations are working for you. I'm experimenting with a countdown alarm on my laptop, and giving myself a certain timeframe to work on one project at a time. Still a work in progress, but it's promising!
    Good luck! :)
    1. lol. Yes Alexia, it's hard with a mountain tbr pile. I start to get anxious of what to read and not reading enough. lol.
      I might have to try the countdown clock. But my mind seems to be stuck in one mindset and doesn't rotate well, but I'll have to try that. Oh well. We'll see what ends up being more productive for me. :)
      Have a great week!
